Stop lying to the fans. Floyd didn't purposely come in 2 lbs over lol...that sounds ridiculous lol... The fight was always a 147lbs fight, but the stip was that they weigh in at 144, and the Tuesday before the fight...Floyd told JMM and his people he could not make 144 and feel comfortable. Floyd was penalized, and told not to come in over 147...

Because Tony's team doesn't really care, maybe if they cared I would care a bit but that is doubtful.

I don't really think this fight is important enough (in the grand scheme of boxing history) to really care, if this was a statement fight people should care but this is basically just work for both guys.

Wait, who are you talking about? What champion?

All your posts are misinformed garbage.

And, yet you think you have some knowledge of the sport. Is quite funny and ridiculous.

So, how do u know how his body was responding? Anyone saying that FMJ didn't try to make weight is just speculating. JMM signed the contract to make it a 147 fight w/ penalties above 144 so it was a legit fight and it wasn't for a belt. Big difference.

Pac asked for 145 in the negotiations for Cotto. Far b4 weigh in time, so that was another time that there was no other reason to ask, other than to weaken a fighter. A fighter that Roach had already said was "not the same fighter" after fighting Margarito, I might add.

FMJ fough ODH at HIS weight weighing in at a much lower weight. No catchweight, not a weight that he hadn't fought in 7 yrs and not w/a dehydration clause either. So FMJ doesn't have the history of trying to weaken or getting a weight advantage over his opponents like Pac does.
Check the stats. FMJ was the smaller fighter in most of his fights
          Good post...

It was ALWAYS at 147 but for some reaosn Floyd told them on Tuesday before the fight he couldn't make 144 even though it was ALWAYS at 147.

            Yes that makes perfect sense.

The only one that lied to the fans was Floyd but you forgive him like those *****es on Cops who forgive their husbands after they get beat..

The fight took several weeks of back and forth negotiations to make. The money involved was not the big issue. Both fighters argued over weight. Mayweather, during the early talks, wanted the fight to take place at 147-pounds. Marquez, who holds multiple titles at 135-pounds, wanted the fight to take place at 143 at the most.

Link Please! Don't remember if that's true or not, but if he did, so what! He is a 147 fighter and Marquez was calling to fight him. Floyd didn't ask for Marquez. He wanted a name fighter to come back against after a 2 yrs layoff. Someone he could make a big payday and also not jump something that might much after the layoff. I'm sure the fact that he thought Marquez beat Pa didn't hurt either.

Proof he PURPOSELY came in at 146 please! I am not the one rewriting history, u are speculating and u know it. Give me one shread of proof this is true. Is it true because u say so? This is the same as calling Pac a PED user. Innocent until proven, isn't what has been said about Pac? Then it applies to FMJ as well!

Pac will be fighting for a world title under the sww limit, and this is the second #@!$@$ time that he's fighting at a catch weight. Don't get mad at that poster for telling it like it is lol...

OMG why are people so obssessed with this catchweight BS?

If they fought with no title at stake, the same people would be complaining. Just say you hating on Pac or Marg and just move on. No need for Alts
