Mayweather did about as much to make this fight happen the 2nd time around as Pac did the first time. I just hope the third time is the charm.

That's more of a Floyd's character. Picking someone he can easily beat. The Mayweather way.

        The real story:
Arum, HBO, and Team PBF agreed to have the fight on May 1. However, when Arum went to Pac with the offer, Pac said no because he would be campaigning for the elections which would take place on May 10. So Arum suggested March 13, which HBO and Floyd agreed to. Roach was against March 13, but Pac agreed to it, despite the short turnaround from the Cotto fight, since March 13 would not conflict with his campaign schedule.

I always remembered that Floyd used the March 13 date to bluff Pac, but it turns out I was wrong, I admit that.

Not a lie, just a faulty recollection. I admit I was wrong. See above.
it was actually roach who said that floyd would not except the march date but he did so floyd called team pacs bluff by acceptin the march date

Roach said he remains uncertain if the fight has to be fought March 13 because of Pacquiao's planned run for a congressional seat in the Philippines in May. Arum and HBO, which will televise the bout, if it occurs, on pay-per-view, prefer a May 1 date.

Roach wants the later date too.

"March 13 is too fast a turnaround," said Roach. "Manny has a broken [right] eardrum" suffered in his Nov. 14 TKO victory over welterweight Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas. "I'd like to have more time. I hope the fight happens, yes, but I want us to be in the best possible shape."

Wimpweather was forcing march date cuz Pacquiao was going for congress man at that time and his ear was really hurt.

And Pacquiao even agree on that.

Now Floyd s BOSS De La Hoya wants this fight at first quarter of next year and Pacquiao is fighting at the end of this year.

Floyd and his boss never really planed to make this fight.
