What has he done since losing to Floyd? He's had three losses out of five fights, to future hall of famers like Jackson Osei Bonsu, who is currently ranked among the top 80 Jr Middleweights (just).

    And his overall record is won 45 (KO 14) + lost 13 (KO 2) + drawn 6

    Clearly a great fighter.

Serious question? More like a troll question.

Look, there was nothing wrong with Floyd fighting him. He was the lineal champion, so Floyd had to fight him in order to be the man. What was wrong was (a) that he didn't then defend his lineal crown against any of the top contenders, at least four of whom were better than Boldomir, and (b) people like you who try to pretend that Boldomir was a better fighter than he was in order to make Floyd's win look better than it was.

Baldomir was a gatekeeper in his prime.

        A very tough guy.

        Thats it really.

            That's a solid journeyman's record. I would say he is a C fighter.

& I know this is off topic but.. where do you guys rank Mayorga?
He beat two decent journeyman in Andrew "6 Heads" Lewis & Michele Piccirillo.
Beat Vernon Forrest twice who was just coming off his wins against Mosley.

Lost a Majority Decision in a fight where he was penalized twice against Spinks.

Was knocked the **** out by Tito, although he did give him a decent fight, and by De La Hoya.. as well as Mosley, who he gave a tough time.

and he knocked out an old Fernando Vargas who came in like a weight class above him or something.

He'd have beat Judah in a rematch. I also think Carlos Baldomir is underrated. Not saying he's an amazing or that he's hated because of Floyd. That style just isn't that credible because he doesn't power. Margarito has a similar style, but he stalks more and applies more pressure. Also is probably more competitive (Baldomir against Margarito would be a competitive fight though)

He wasn't anything, but he deserves to be recognized as the man in that time period. His streak of 8 years undefeated and then wins over Zab and Gatti is impressive in my view. Especially for a guy who sold featherdusters for a living.

Matter of fact TBH Baldomir gets too much credit. He do gets more credit than he deserves just because Floyd beat him. Just to make that win better for Floyd than what it really was.

He was the Number 1 WW. For the Lineal Title. It was a good win for Floyd. Still is.

Disagree with this. Baldomir is regarded as a **** fighter around here. The only fan I've seen of his is slotiff (sp)
