Let's just take a look at the last few PPVs GBP has put out- Hopkins-Jones II, JMM-Diaz II, Mosley-Mora.

If a GBP monopoly is the future of boxing and 'events' like that are what's in store, then we might as well hold the sport's funeral now.

as for the ppv, i saw one every 4 months(3 big quality stacked cards a year)
I feel GBP would put on better matchups than any other promotional company (sans Gary Shaw).

People talk **** about GBP's PPV undercards, but I remember Pacquiao's last undercards being huge pieces of **** in comparison, including Duddy, Karass, Gomez, Chavez Jr., David Diaz, etc.

And I'd put money on Khan and Ortiz fighting before Gamboa and Lopez. Abner Mares is fighting in the Bantamweight tourney while Montiel and Donaire aren't.

Besides, most people on here stream **** anyways so why cry over it being PPV??
I'm not talking for most people, I'm talking for myself. PPV limits your audience any way you look at it though, so your UFC point sucks, you talk as if you're going to make money off of it yourself. The UFC has a deal with ****e where it gets constant promotion for its PPV shows to a wide audience on basic cable.

Promoters can put on great matchups with just the licensing fee HBO and Showtime give, which is why you see November stacked the way it is.

These boxers put their lives on the line every night they fight and this ******* wants to monopolize the industry so that he can control all the money from the networks and pay these poor kids chump change!!!! i'll tell you what Golden *** wear your fishnets and go whore yourself on Sunset Blvd, you ****in prick

            60%40%

60% to the winner!!! and 40% to the loser in ALL FIGHTS!!!!

with a 5% knock out bonus!!!

meaning if you win by knock out you get 65% and loser gets 35%

make them earn it!!! this is how you fix boxing!!!

**** would NEVER work. The top tier boxers are too rich and powerful. Hell, DLH himself is proof that a cash cow boxer can strike out on his own and challenge the boxing promotional establishment. It's not like the UFC where fighters have no other options and get paid a miniscule fraction of PPV revenues (like $80,000 headlining a fight that sells 1 mil buys). Pac, May, Oscar in the last decade, Khan in the future, etc- these guys can do their own promotions (and some of them have legit promotional companies) and do their own thing if they really wanted to, they can just follow Oscar's blueprint.

Him saying doesn't mean he would do it.

Just look at their last 3 PPVs in a row.

JMM-Diaz being the best one and that was still an eh type of PPV. Those 3 are in the level of Latin fury PPVs but the difference is Latin Fury is a independent PPV while those 3 were major PPVs.

Pretty lame, if he/GBP and Greenburg are in charge they will ruin the sport. Hell they're already hurting HBO boxing.

                    ODLH's dream is my nightmare.

A sport lead by a dictatorship? A sport where sound and healthy competition cannot benefit the boxers and the fans? A sport where the promoter controls everything and makes up his own rules - even appointing his "commissioner"?

That would ruin boxing, that would destoy all the elements of true competition that lifts boxing miles over UFC and all the other staged illusions.

He is outrageous, really. And he should be boycottet by anyone who loves boxing.

And by the way: Does he think this would work outside the USA?
