how can anyone agree with arum? oscar is right if all the fighters was controlled by 1 promoter then we wont have a bunch of greedy promoters caring about themselves. the best would always fight eachother. like ufc dana white controlls everything. the only reason arum hates that is because it cuts him out of the picture and he wont have a job.

i think there should be 1 promoter monthly PPVs and bi weekly hbo showtime shows. sounds like wwe but look at how popular wwe is. its all entertainment. and if the best arent fighting the best because the people who manage them have other agendas then it sucks.

Margarito's promoter (Bob Arum) knew that Mosley was pulling this sleazy stunt, but cared less, cause he was gonna profit from a, then, proposed Mayweather Jr vs Mosley fight (which took place on May 2010), cause he agreed with Oscar, to conspire, this dirty ploy.

That''s why the California boxing commission officials allowed Margarito to try to use plaster inserts, cause they all knew that Mosley was "juiced-up" with EPO, and was not gonna get caught, and Margarito was being "backstabbed" by his very own promoter.

We would end up with less quality fighters, a diminished pool feeding the top competition, a higher percentage of sub-standard match-ups, and few if any genuine super-stars.

But GBP, would become unfathomably rich.

Dude if you REALLY think most of the money from the PPV's go to the promoter your a ****ing idiot. Half of the money from the PPV buys go to the network providers and the rest has to pay for the stadium, conssecion stands, cleanup after the event, security, advertising for the event itself, construction, on top of the fighter pay.

In the opinion of De La Hoya, the sport of boxing has to be run like any other sport.
