    hmm...

ali broke his jaw in the opening round against ken norton in their first fight. u think hed rather have an injury where he cant even lift either arm instead of just taking the broken jaw and going the distance?

whos the imbecile: the imbecile who fights with one broken jaw or the imbecile who fights with no functioning arms?
    Your arguement:

Vitali has heart, because his "Quitting" was erased by his battle with Lewis.

    In a related story:

Acelino Freitas was down on all scorecards bigtime against Jorge Barrios. He hung in there, absorbed punishment, and ended up knocking him out in the 12th round. The same Freitas QUIT against Corrales........Did the display of courage against Barrios outweigh the lack of in the corrales fight?

or is that a matter of time?

That is not the point. The subject matter was QUITTING the fight and the reversal of public perception as pertained to.

You cant say it can you? He is a Quitter.

so fighting lewis with his "face being torn off" as u klitschko haters seem to say does not show heart? getting hit with a lewis uppercut from hell and continuing is not showing heart?

and btw the offical score cards for the freitas barrios fight were

          105-105, 106-103, 104-106 just for a side note

If I had been in Vitali's position in the Byrd fight I'd probably have quit too.

i think he showed alot of heart in the LL fight, Also in the Sanders fights, i didn't think he'd be able to take Sander's shot, although VK was hurt a few times, he was abe to stay in there and finish him. I only wish they would have let the LL fight go 2 more rounds. so we wouldn't need to have these threads.

even if he quit, byrd got his ass ****d by wlad in his next match, a match that he was beaten senseless and lost by a mile-long margin.

in vitali's case, he was winning the fight, he knew he couldve beaten byrd, he knew byrd's a joke, his brother gave byrd one of the biggest beatings of byrd's life, and now his fight with lennox lewis (the fight where vitali DIDNT quit) erased his "quitter" stigma.

who the hell wants to fight byrd anyway?
yeah, he waited to quit until it looked like Byrd had a chance to win the fight. Byrd was nailing him with pitter patter punches and Vitali quit, lol

If Vitali was losing and there was no point of going the distance, then sure, no point of gettin injured if your gonna lose anyway..

but he was WINNING and all he had to do was stay 2 rounds with the DYNAMITE PUNCHER Chris Byrd (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA BYRD A KO ARTIST LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

No way Byrd would have stopped him, he should have fought with one arm then, cuz all he did was have to survive against Byrd(HAHAHAHAHAHA SURVIVE THE WRATH OF BYRD! LOL!!!!!!!!)
