      I agree. If I remember correctly, I believe the ring doctor recommended Vitali retire from the fight to reduce the risk of permanent damage, although the doctor could not confirm the extent of the injury from ringside and stop the fight him/herself.

      Given those options, I'm glad he retired from the fight with Byrd, so we could enjoy his fights since then, and in the future.

        Vitali is a heartless joke, he is done and he doesn't even know it. he loses his next fight by knockout regardless of opponent

                    sounds like you haven't seen the fight. you remember a doctor telling Vitali to stop but you can't remember if it was a guy or a girl?

                    sounds like BULL**** to me

                    how many of you have actually seen this fight???? Vitali's corner told him to continue, and he said "it hurts too much" and quit like a ***** and tried to make up for it by talking to the crowd after the fight, lol
