Just rewatched the Cotto Vs Pac Fight...

Damn, I could've swore he did a lot worst. He clearly got beat down but he had way more success in there than Pac's last 4 opponents, two of which retired after their losses, and one who quit on his stool. Cotto actually won rounds 1 and 5, landed some hard shots that ruptured Pacs ear drum, and actually outboxed Pac in some spots, until the late rounds when he just had nothing left.
Also, Cotto went to the body a lot in that fight, so people who have made a point that he stopped body attacking have got it all wrong. Neway, Cotto doesn't need a rematch with this guy, though at JMW and with Steward in the corner it may be a better fight. Just wanted to make the point, he got beat up but he did better than a lot of guys have and it just illustrates my point of Cotto not being a shot fighter, and being a level above most.
Watching this fight made me think, & I don't see how anyone can see Cotto lose to some of these opponents who have been mentioned for him: Cintron, Vanes, JCC Jr., Angulo, etc. Cotto would box circles around those types - though the hard punchers like Angulo and Cintron would be tuffer fights. Still, his most challenging opponents are PWill, S Martinez, Margarito.

People still whine about the catchweight, but Cotto would have beaten any other welterweight in the world coming in the way he did that night. He looked damn good, and Pac just was better.

I have to watch the fight again because to me, Cotto looked dry and weight drained... There's a reason why he jumped up to 154 right after, but like I said I have to watch again...

If Cotto had've carried on boxing the way he did in round 1 I think he may have won, but he tried to trade with Pac too often despite not having a good enough chin to do so.

Cotto was a great fighter and if he didnt have a bit of success, Pac really would be superman, and he isnt.

Cotto has had success against every fighter he ever fought. He had success against Margarito as well. He had much more success over margarito than he did Pac.

Pac just was much better. They make excuses for the hatton loss to Pac as well. And no body would have blown Hatton away in 2 rounds as well. If Floyd had a rematch with Hatton he wouldnt knock him out in 2 rounds as well.
So Pac needs nothing but massive praise. Most people give him it as well

I dont care what anybody say about this fight regarding Cotto, He looked horrible he was totally outclassed and Pacquiao's marked up face gave people the wrong impression about the fight.

Pacquiao gets marked up easily, Even clottey who barely land 6 punches a round against Pac marked him up, Pac was laughing at Cotto's punches and he left himself open for cotto to take shots at him, If that doesnt show how easy the fight was for Pac then a lot of you guys are in denial.

He even had Cotto jogging away backwards, And Cotto now campaiging at 154 tell the whole story.
