Nobody is saying the guys at 140 beat Pac because he would beat them all. What members are saying is some of the top 140 fighters are a bigger threat to him than Margacheato.

Margacheato's only advantage is his height. Pac hits harder than him without his plaster, has a better chin, better style, better footwork, better trainer, better combinations, is in his prime, is faster, etc.

As a boxing fan you should want the best fighters fighting each other and defending their belts against the top guys in the sport.
Like a said....none of those guys can beat Margarito at 147 let alone 151, so how are they harder challenges?

And before you say styles make fights, what does any of those guys at 140 posses that you see making a fight between them and Pacquiao competitive. While Manny may dominate Margarito, Tony would put up a way better fight than anyone of those guys.....so I really don't see how he is not fighting a better fighter.

Because they are 140 Pounders Mike.

A fight between Pac and the other 140 Pounders would be at.....140 Pounds. Whether the 140 pounders can move up to 154 is irrelevant.

So what? Let's say he did....your point?

Manny and Amir will never fight for obvious reasons. So what point is there in bringing up a fight between the two? I think there is a better chance of Vitali and Wladimir facing off than Manny and Amir.

Why the **** are you comparing Margacheato to them? Comparing a guy who should be fighting at 154 to guys that fight at 140? Are you serious?

Because those guys aren't past prime, shot, inactive like Margacheato, etc.

Why isn't Manny fighting Williams at 147/154 or Martinez at 154? Those two guys are a bigger threat to Manny than the guys he's been recently fighting.

LOL...that doesn't make sense because at 140 Pac would have the advantage. What's great about Pac right now is he's fighting out of his weight division. Why don't you tell those 140lbs to fight the welters. I think the top welters would be favor here.

How do you know Manny and Khan will never fight? This is a sport and money talks in boxing. Khan can always find another trainer for a fight with Manny. Khan called out Manny in the media multiple times before.

Fighting out of his weight division? He walks around at 151 pounds and he belongs at 147.

Get real man. We have already discussed this, so I don't get why you think Manny will go down to 140 when he is the draw, will be carrying the fight, and will hold all the cards in his hand if he negotiated against those guys at 140.

because Margarito brings the most money. I agree Williams and Martinez are bigger threats, but who's to say Manny won't fight either guy next. I mean do you honestly think, a guy who fought at 130 two years ago, is suppose to fight the #1 and #2 MW's? It's a process, in the sense that Manny is slowly moving up.

                      Hatton 138
                      Cotto 142
                      Clottey 145
                      Margarito ???

So if in a year he hasn't moved up or has and still isn't fighting those big JMW...then you might have a point.
