    He should fight Kotelnik.

That would be two HUGE fights for the 140lb division on the SAME night. That would be amazing.

Too big of a step up too soon for Murray

Ortiz would run right through him

Quantity is not better than quality.

He would get more respect fighting one Kotelnik than 100 Murrays. Fighting someone like Kotelnik would also be a great learning fight for him, would complete his rehabilitation, and would show where he is at. Especially after Alexander's lucky hometown decision against Kotelnik, it would be by far the most meaningful fight available to him. Murray is a tomato can, Ortiz has already beaten many fighters who are vastly superior to Murray. It's less meaningful than one of his sparring sessions.

Murray will end up the same way Mitchell did when he went up against Katsidis.
I hope it happens because it will make a good undercard when the norm nowadays is to have one decent main event and a bunch of crap undercard fights.

Murray is better than Maidana I think its a mistake of them put him in with Murray, Murray is another pressure fighter with a great chin. He will wear down Ortiz, Murrays career has been on hold because of Hennesey, hes still only 25 and won young fighter of the year in the UK couple years back. Murrays last fight with Hennesey is tommorow I can only see his career going forward from now on, Murray should stay at lightweight tho as hes pretty much got a title shot if he wins his next fight. People are underestimating Murray big time, I am not sure Ortiz has the heart to take on Murray.

Murray would batter Mitchell and he would beat Katsidas in a all out war, Murray fights like Katisdis but with a slightly better defense. It would be FOTY if they met each other.

They need Ortiz to promote this fight, Maidana and Khan have no real solid fan bases here in the US, atleast Ortiz can draw mexicans with presses at Cali, Vegas, Texas and such. Plus a good undercard is always great to have for good attendance and views

Ortiz vs Kotelnik and Khan vs Maidana in December and Bradley vs Alexander in January would have been a great.

still if Murray fight is true its better then ortiz not fighting the rest of the year I guess

I know it's a long, long shot cuz of TR/GBP are both on their rags, but the best matchup I would love to see is Brandon rios vs ortiz at 140.Rios called him out nasty the last time out after whipping ant's azz.after this, once khan beats chino,ortiz/chino got to fight next hopefully maybe on the cinco de mayo weekend.that would be great, Marcos would need to get another big win to be somewhat relative aGain and the rematch has beeN
in the making ever since ortiz quit the first time. This time around ortiz will have him figured out.

I really don't think John Murray has that power the Marcos Maidana has.
