Ortiz should be able to handle Murray with ease...and I mean with REAL ease!!
If they(GBP) wanted to match Vic against a smaller dude.....why not Rios?!?....he and Vic can headline their OWN show....just sayin'!!

John Murray is a good European fighter. He is the Current European Champion in the Lightweight division. A feat that is still higher then Ortiz's accomplishments. That being said, that is all he is, A European Fighter. He will never IMO have the tools to stand up to fighters that are Elite. The only chance i see him winning an actual World title is if he goes for a vacant one against another unknown. Victor Ortiz is world Class, weather your beliefs are for or against it. The man was on a Wrecking streak and had all of the boxing world talking about him, And HBO touting him as their next Star. Of course, this is what also lead to his downfall. He Met Maidana, and wanted to give the crowd their money's worth and went head to head with a ****er. Even with that loss, he rose up again, and is only getting better. To fight someone of Murray's caliber will only get him little fame in the UK. I see this as nothing but a time waster for him ATM. If he fights a lightweight, why not Rios?

I wanted to see Victor Ortiz vs Brandon Rios. But maybe that's another fight for another time. Whatever, as long as Ortiz fights a top 10 guy IMMEDIATELY afterward.
