Pretty much. Even most hardcore boxing fans don't remember/know that legendary fighters such as Armstrong, Leonard, Chavez/Whittaker, etc fought at catchweights for titles (in Sugar Ray's case, he won 2 different weight class titles on the same night haha). All they remember is the accomplishments, number of titles, highlights, etc. Same thing will happen with Pacquiao in a few years. Hell, most casual fans don't even know what a CW is... all they know is that the guy with the record 7 divisional titles is going for his 8th.

Today is modern thing to fight at catchweights,every big fight is at catchweight.

Pacquiao Cotto,Floyd JMM,Hoya B-Hop and now Burners Paul is fighting Sergio.
