Morales and Barrera couldn't beat Juan Diaz or Casamayor.

I don't care what anyone says. They failed past 130 whereas JMM flourished.

The stats and history don't lie.

Don't listen to Hyper**** or bitter ass Pinoy's about this, listen to Emmanuel Steward who trained Hamed tell you the truth.

Forward to 4:20 for ownage of all of you fags.

    Nice find Jack.

i say this in all honesty.....i love morales and marquez....i hate barrera.......

i think barrera would clearly be the best if he were bigger.....thats basically his only weakness...he has a very good chin, is a very good puncher, is faster than both, is technically brilliant, has a better jab than both, has long arms, good defense at all ranges.....remember he was weighing like 138 on fight night for 130 fights, when he was older...and he didnt exactly look cut......i think he couldve easily made 126......and when he was at 26, he couldve made 122.....

him going 12 vs pac in the second fight(when he was very past prime) really makes me believe he really was distracted as hell for the first fight(though pac is still a bad match up for him)....and he got robbed in the rematch vs junior jones.

head to head, he is a bad match up for both morales and marquez.......

when they brawled, barrera usually got the better of erik because he was faster.

marquez eats jabs like theyre m&m's and barrera has a great jab(see first 4 rounds of their fight....)sure marquez is a slow starter, but he couldnt ko a more past it marco, and he was hitting him with bombs.....i think a prime barrera puts rounds in the bank early(with an early kd) and gets hurt a bit late but survives.....

yeah, because emmanuel steward knows what happens in camp barrera-morales.....he was in camp hamed, but his credibility ends there....besides barrera and morales were a bit irrelevant at this point, so it was in HBO 's interst to hype JMM....

and i love JMM but thats the truth......

                it's not a bull**** story.

jmm priced himself out of a morales fight.

jmm priced himself out of a hamed fight.

jmm priced himself out of a pacquiao immediate rematch.

                google it.

max kellerman is ******. he's hyping up marquez because marquez was the only one left.

hamed , barrera and morales were all pretty much done.

they needed to hype up marquez and all this "everyone ducked marquez" talk was a way to explain why marquez's resume was ****.

this was 2006. after 14 years as a pro , jmm's only meaningful wins were agapito , gainer and medina.

your post is kinda true.....BUT, Hamed had ducked Marquez for almost 2 years before making the offer that Nacho turned down....

                      i don't know about ducked.

hamed was fighting all of the top guys at 126.

maybe steward and his people didn't like the matchup with marquez and marquez was too much risk and no reward (which he was)

people just like to say hamed ducked marquez because he was a mandatory.

but hamed never really cared about mandatories by sanctioning bodies. he was getting stripped of belts left and right. hell they were stripping champs of belts for fighting hamed.
