I wouldnt say hope is lost for Angulo. He could still be granted a temporary visa. Didn't a similar thing happen to the boxer Jesus Chavez but even worse?? I believe he was convicted of being an accessory to armed robbery when he was a teen and sent to prison then deported upon his release. A few attorneys took up his cause which eventually led to his pardon and he was granted a green card. He also later married a US citizen and is now here legally.
