Stop calling Victor Ortiz a pushover.

I see a lot of people mad at Devon because he wants Ortiz over Kotelnik.

Ortiz is a better fighter than Kotelnik. Alexander shouldnt be knocked for a Ortiz fight.

So explain why is Ortiz-Alexander such a bad fight?

EDIT- Why was this thread deleted? I broke no rules. Im not trolling and Im not flaming. So why was this thread deleted?

Not sure if Ortiz is better than Kotelnik but both are worthy challengers.

I could be wrong but I got the impression in the past that Ortiz is perhaps a bit too demanding in negotiations. For example apparently not offering Maidana much for a rematch. I hope he doesn't expect 60% to face Devon, IMO he deserves 40% at most.

Personally I thought Kotelnik beat Devon. I'd like to see Devon REALLY beat Kotelnik (even if you thought Alexander won it was close and Kotelnik blocked a large amount of Devon's punches)

You're missing the point. Kotelnik deserves a rematch because most people considered that he deserved the decision against Alexander.

No the point is. Kotelnik was looked at as a tune up. Why fight him again? Ortiz is a great fight.

Kotelnik is a former title holder and a legit top 5 Jr Welterweight, and in most people's opinions, he beat Alexander. When a title holder gets a hometown decision in a title fight, the other guy deserves a rematch, especially when the other guy is a legit top contender and former belt holder.

The fact that Alexander's deluded fans regarded Kotelnik as a tune-up is neither here nor there. He proved to be the better man on the night and was robbed, he's rated #5 by The Ring, he's beaten Maidana, who beat Ortiz, and to dismiss him as a "tune-up" is ridiculous.

I rescored it for Kotelnik. Lets not act like Kotelnik is the second coming. The triangle theory was pointless.

Alexander was the Champion. He can fight Ortiz. And yes the fight was looked at as a tune up. Did it turn pout that way no? Styles make fights as we saw.

Hes not fighting him again so people need to let it go.

you dont know what ur talking about. victor doesnt even fight like a bully. hes a power boxer/ counter puncher. u try to bully him, then u will eat some hard straight shots on the way in.

people still taking the maidana fight and running with it. ortiz is a better fighter becuz of that fight. hes smarter and more calculated, but the skill and talent still remains.
