Its a fine opponent for him and its a good thing that he is stepping up in class.

Baldo is a good gauge for where he is at and what he needs to work on.

Who is Victor Ortiz fighting next???

Hmmm is he fighting a Vivian Harris a guy who just got KO d in round 4?

They protect SURFER VICTOR and then they throw CANELO to the lions!

      NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!
GBP put him in there with Maidana and he was winning the fight before he decided to brawl with Maidana.

The one thing you can not say about GBP is they protect their fighters. Why is Khan fighting Maidana? Why is Ortiz going to get another chance soon? Why is Canelo stepping up his competition?

Khan and Maidana are fighting, Devon just fought, and he's going to fight Bradley in January. Zab has a fight coming up and some of the other guys recently fought, or are going to fight soon. Ortiz had limited time to get ready for the fight and to find an opponent.

I think its a good name for his resume and at this stage in his career not too diffcult a fight for Alvarez.

baldo is as old as DIRT. baldo's a old shot fighter. saul should be able to win a easy UD.

the boldo that fought judah is no more. i can't see saul struggling with this old shot version of baldo.

Well i am not so sure Baldomir is a great fighter but he has got a lot of mileage. Also his last fight was @160lbs his last fight unter 160lbs was 2 years ago the fight will be @154 i am not quite sure how he handles that.

I think we can discredit Harris knock out loss to Matthysse, it was a obvious premature stoppage.

Two of GBP's young starlets are going up against former titleholders who have been in there with great competition and won a few good bouts. Nothing wrong with that.

Harris was a champion for 2 years with a couple of defenses and some good wins against Lazcano, Mbaye, and Urkal. He's been stopped 3 times, but remains a top opponent nevertheless.

Baldo is the same way. Former world champion. Boxed a ****load of rounds against quality opponents.

                My predictions for the undercard.

                Ortiz UD Harris
Alvarez makes Baldomir quit in his corner late.

Only danger of facing Baldomir is the constant pressure he will see and the slight probability of Baldomir landing a perfectly placed punch on his chin and maybe to the back of the head. This is a good match for Alvarez, the kid has been in many fights already, Baldomir will show him nothing he hasnt seen before as he's used to facing pressure fighters.

This will be the most one sided fight on the card. At least Vivian Harris can punch a bit. If Alvarez struggles with this old guy, he is nothing resembling a title contender.

I honestly believe Canelo will stop Baldomir. He's too old and Alvarez got the fresh legs and good power.
