I cant belive that GBP put SAUL ALVAREZ with CARLOS BALDOMIR!

I just cant belive it,kid is like 20 years old and last fight he got rocked by lightweight guy Cotto.

They put this kid with former undisputed ww champ who lost the titles like 2 years ago.

Baldomir has like 13,14 KO s but he can punch ,he almost knocked JUDAH out twice.

I just dont see how SAUL ALVAREZ can beat BALDOMIR.

You don't know **** about boxing.

Canelo is going to beat him easily.

You guys ***** and moan when fighters don't fight the best and fight better opponents, but then you go and make a thread like this.

What do you want GBP to do with him? Protect him like TR has been protecting Chavez Jr? Baldo is a good opponent for Canelo to get some work in because he's still a young fighter that has a lot to learn and makes mistakes during fights.

I honestly didn't even know Baldy was still fighting. He does have a good punch against certain opponents - he was hurting judah and I remember how badly he beat the crap out of gatti, yeah gatti was shot and 147 was too big for him but still, those punches looked like they hurt.

With that said I think he's a good opponent for the kid. He's good enough to be a solid test for him plus he has a damn solid chin but at the same time he's too far removed from his prime to be a real danger to him.

Canelo ain't no 146-150 pound Zab Judah, he'll do fine. The dangers of facing Baldomir is that he'll rehydrate up to 162++, but Alvarez can handle that, especially in this stage of Baldomir's career. Plus it's not like they'll be fighting at 147, we're talkin' 154 here. Baldomir poses no kind of threat.

Guess what Baldomir hits harder then Cotto and Cotto rocked Canelo s socks up in round 1!

This will be another epic fail by Golden Boy Promotions

I saw one of Baldomir's most recent fight live on television, this must have been years ago, can't remember. But he was getting rocked against some bum, and clearly didn't look as good as he did against Mayweather, Judah and Gatti. He's well past his prime, Alvarez got this.
