I'm not comparing the fighters but the pre-fight hype. All the people I knew. Boxing fans gave Salita a good puncher's chance. Salita was the mandatory so people thought he must be quality automatically
Are you real? Everyone on these forums was saying how corrupt the WBA was for making Salita their #1 contender, when he only was ranked around #50 by boxrec at the time. He also had an extremely low KO percentage (only 16 stoppages out of 31 wins, even though he had only ever fought journeymen) - so your claim that he was given a puncher's chance by anyone who knew anything about boxing is ridiculous. No one who knew anything about boxing gave him even a tiny outside chance against Khan. Even Michael Jennings and Gary Lockett were more deserving of their title shots than Salita was.

Salita got his ranking because he had a big Brooklyn following, due to his religion, and the WBA wanted to milk that for the money it could make them.

That makes sense now. Don't know why he quoted me though.

            Happy debating guys.
            a) Ali's chin improved as he got older.

            b) It's at least as much about basics as it is about the chin, like for instance the simple fact that Khan never used to clinch when hurt. Or that he never used to block punches. I could go on with a whole long list but I can't be bothered.

What I want to know is, if Khan wins, will you give him props? Or are you just a hater?

                    2) If he wins an SD you'll say Maidana got robbed
3)If he KOs Maidana you'll say he was already exposed by Corley..
