ive already explained this. catchweights are used now as a frauduelnt false sense of mental security. the fighters THINK they are getting an edge but they are not.

People were unsure of whether it was made until HBO recently confirmed it as well, so someone (I think Williams) camp is doing a terrible PR job. Martinez was just gunning for Angulo, and he made a fight easily against Pavlik (granted he was coming off a loss.) That being said, Martinez career after the Williams fight has been handled pretty well, Williams on the other hand got Cintron and got 300 people to come watch the fight, then as a MW was calling out Mayweather and Manny...

All that being said I wouldn't be surprised if he did or didn't, if he did I think it means he can't make 154 much less 147 (given his size its not surprising) or two people are making rumors but his camp is to ignorant to see his entire reputation has taking a massive hit. Aside from his VERY FEW nuthuggers, the people who even know about his existence don't like him or could care less about him, he needs a new promoter or take whatever fight he can get and look FANTASTIC in them.

IF i don't like fighters winning titles at catch-weights then i should be consistent to avoid being a hypocrite.

I should not defend Fighters i like and dislike that fights for a title in a catch-weight.
