No hes not, he dropped the belt. I find it hillarious that people think they're in a position to know what will and wont weaken fighters. I thought the issue was that Pac was fighting for titles at catchweights.

Williams is fighting for THE title at a catchweight. But its cool now?

Even if he dropped the belt... he JUST dropped the belt... he's still a blown up Jr MW.

      I don't care.

Please quote me somewhere... anywhere... as bringing this up as a problem.

The only time I have a problem with a catchweight is when I feel it weakens a particular fighter in the fight.

Pac - Cotto I felt that weakened Cotto... Pac - Margarito... I don't care, I dont think it effects either fighter, and same for Williams Martinez

The champion should still be allowed to weigh in at the limit... and Ill always stick with that, so I dont like it... but I still dont think it gives an advantage to anyone in this fight.

However, I just laugh at the double standards in this place. This is no different than the Pac-Cotto catch-weight fight that some fans ****ted on Pac for and till this day refuse to give credit to Pac. Yet are willing to give a pass to P-Will

Whatever, I could careless both can make 154 IMO let alone 157. It will be an exciting fight. It is just the nuthugging and hating that goes on in this place is sometimes..........
Its not the same Cotto is a JMW now for a reason. He has lazy training camps and its hard for him to get down which is why hes always in that black sweat suit in every pic. Cutting down 2 pounds is different from Martinez who doesnt have to cut any weight at all. I dont think this is the same at all.

Ok my issue is not allowing the champ to come in at the limit.

In his fight prior he weight-in at 146 and Pac weight-in 138 prior.

I realy didn't see any advantage for Pac at 145 having Cotto coming in 1 pound less than his previous fight.
Pac's team certainly saw it as a disadvantage for Cotto, which is why they did it.

2lbs does matter. Despite his financial problems, Floyd chose to give up a lot of money rather than lose those extra 2lbs for the JMM fight. Why? Because losing 2lbs is sometimes incredibly hard to do and can severly weaken a boxer and harm his performance.

Why do you pretend to have inside info on how all these guys train? Its pathetic.

No, bringing up a fight from over ten years ago doesn't break my logic at all. But carry on.

When did you start following Cotto? Ask any Puerto Rican on here and they'll tell you that Cotto half asses his training camps and they arent that intense.

                    The hell.

I feel the same way. 100&.

Martinez wont have any weight to cut at all. Hes not even a real middleweight.
