Gamboa should get a new trainer to help with his flaws.

Lately he always starts off his fights by being very technical with his guard up high and tests out his opponent.

After he tests them out and feels no risk with that opponent, that's when he starts dropping his hands and doing whatever he wants.

I think in a fight with Cab or Juanma... he would not be dropping his hands to his pockets like he has with his previous opponents.

As long as JuanMa and Cab give Gamboa reason to be worried... I think Gamboa will stay in his technical mode...

    Agree/Disagree?
Since he knows that Cab and Juanma are threats I would have to agree.

Yeah... you can see why Gamboa fights like he does against the opponents he's faced.

Aside from a few flash knockdowns which have never hurt them... he basically feels there is literally nothing those opponents can do to him.

Even if he feels he can beat Cab and JuanMa, he surely would recognize, they are of a higher caliber fighter than what he has faced.

And, I don't see him fighting the same careless "whatever" attitude style he has done with these other fighters.

I see Gamboa keeping his guard high and maintaining his distance against Cab or Juanma...

I think he will have moments where he may drop his hands in those two fights, but I still see him being 10X more careful...

        Stop spamming dumbass.

        His trainer is great.

He helped DANNY GREEN to move up and win WBA championship

and he helped to get GAMBOA two belts in few fights.

His trainer has trained Olympic champs since dinosaurs age.

          Agreed.

I really don't think Gamboa is that ****** to play around with guys like Juanma and Cab inside the ring.

But I really think Roger or Floyd Sr. would help him out.

Look at Roy fighting Glen Kelly and then fightng Tarver...

Against Glen Kelly, he was doing chicken moves, touching his shoes.. and knocked him out with his hands behind is back...

He sure as hell didn't do or even try any of that crap with Tarver...

Obviously because Tarver was a much better fighter than Kelly, and he couldn't screw around like that and he knew that...

I think it will be the same case if Gamboa fights JuanMa or Cab...

I don't need him to be.

I'm also not defending to defend... I'm giving my opinion on how he will fight better fighters.

Don't read it if you don't like it.

Only when someone comes into a thread to tell me, I am only making a certain argument because I think someone is a second coming of my favorite fighter, and I can stop "defending" him now.

Gamboa is fine. He takes Cab and Lopez to hell and back win or lose. No one has an easy night with him.

At what 29, 30 years old. Its too late. Lopez and Cab are flawed too. Gamboa as he is now is a handful for anybody around his weight.
