The Klitschkos may be the best heavyweights after Lennox Lewis but that is about it. Wladimir has a glass jaw and Vitali although having metal for a chin would be brutally exposed by the lightning fast speed and reflexes of Muhammad Ali.

Have any of you haters actually seen Ali in his prime- against the likes of Folley,Williams,Liston,Patterson as well as his later career when he became THE ONLY MAN TO KNOCK OUT GEORGE FOREMAN. A prime George Foreman who twenty years later came back to knock out Michael Moorer for the Heavyweight Championship.


Someone called Liston a 'plodding' fighter i would have to say Vitali is as much a plodding fighter and neither of the Klitschkos are hard to hit. Even a few light blows from Kevin Johnson had Vitali all bruised up.


Samuel Peter was absolutely AWFUL one of the worst heavyweight champions of all time. Compare the Resumes-

Ali:

Beat Liston(2), Patterson(2), Foreman, Frazier(2), Norton(2), Zora Folley, Chuvalo, Shavers(who would knock Wladimir on his ass), Lyle and so on.

Also wasnt that when he had to cheat to beat LHW Henry Cooper and take illegal and banned substances in the ring which we have video evidence of him doing? Thats the prime youre talking about? Foreman, ok, Ali waited for the dumb Foreman to punch himself out. Vitali threw more punches every round against kingpin and sosnowski than Foreman threw in any round against Ali. Oh and Vitali is 39. So if Vitali fought in 120 degree weather, and Ali was allowed to hang on loose ropes and Vitali knew the judges would never let him win (one judge had Foreman winning 0 rounds....0)...then maybe Ali could compete with him. I still dont think so though.

Giving Ali credit for 2 frazier wins...you might as well give Berbick credit for beating Ali. Fact is Frazier was past it. During that span he won 5 of his last 10 fights. Ali's camp literally has said, "we chose Frazier a 3rd time because we could see he was so far past it." And if you want to see clinching watch Ali against Frazier...holy **** if Wlad or Vitali could do that to opponents theyd never lose, he literally just pushed Joe's head down the entire fight. It was a joke. Not to mention if Frazier ever got into the ring with Wlad he would turn and run...you think Foreman hit hard...Wlad would kill him.

In terms of fighting style they aren't comparable at all. Wlad is so stiff, can't fight on the inside or on the back foot that well either. I agree about him not having worthy contenders to his throne though.

Personally, having seen Klitschko from the very beginning, I don't think there is anything he can't do, as you can see by his earlier pre-Sanders fights. Since skill and technique is paramount with these guys it is NOT NECCESSARY for them to be infighters, their height and style mitigate against this, they have other aspects which are better for their physiques and temperaments as you can see.

Since "tying up" and "clinching", are both integral parts of legal boxing, often meaning the same thing, there is then NO WAY that an opponent can get to either of them with meaning. UNLESS it's a one in a thousand chance, like Sanders where his head was at least as effective as his fists.
