  • Comments Thread For: Vitali Klitschko Compares Wladimir With Muhammad Ali

Russian media source “MK” (“Moscow Komsomolets”) contacted Vitali Klitschko, the WBC heavyweight champion of the world and the elder brother of the universally recognized heavyweight #1 in the world, to know more about Wladimir’s victory over Samuel Peter. Vitali expressed some interesting thoughts in his short speech with “MK” reporter and also compared Wladimir’s achievements with those of legendary Muhammad Ali. [Click Here To Read More]

In terms of fighting style they aren't comparable at all. Wlad is so stiff, can't fight on the inside or on the back foot that well either. I agree about him not having worthy contenders to his throne though.

I agree that Wlad's level of opposition is nowhere near Ali's.

      How unfortunate.

Ali is in another galaxy as far as greatness is concerned, but Wlad would win in a fight.

In this era, the only men able to compete with a Klitschko, is a Klitschko.

              absolutely true.

Ali accomplished so much more, but straight up in a fight, Wlad would be too much for him. Things have changed so much and people dont want to believe it.

Yeah, i noticed Vitali said no fighter could stand up to Wlad...I assume meaning not even himself. Reports from people around them say that now in sparring Vitali is no match for Wlad. Granted a real fight would be much different, but the paper missed the proper follow up..."hey, Vitali...you say theres no one, how about he fights the 2nd best boxer in the world...you know...you?"

If Wlad beat Vitali in the ring, he would get so much more respect than he does now.

Someone has been getting high early this morning. Wlad has no chin and Ali is too mobile, too tough for the stiff. Ali would do whatever he felt like with Wlad.

Which era Ali...the one who was knocked damn near unconcious by British Light Heavyweight Henry Cooper? Or the one who took 15 rounds to beat a slow imobile Chuck Wepner? Wlad might have no chin...lucky for him Ali had no KO power.
