Neither boxing or society needs mayweather. When the sport has the Klits all educated and well spoken clean cut and articulate as role models. Let mayweather grovel in the swill and slime he chooses to swim in. Rot and fade away.

boxing doesnt need anyone, that goes for floyd too. but im sorry, when floyd was retired, boxing just wasnt the same. alot of good/great fights but boxing didnt have that IT factor, when floyd was gone.
it came back when he did
the fact that Floyd is talked about the most in and off the boards show how great he is for boxing

boxing don't need floyd. it was doin fine during floyd's first "retirement".
Floyd slandered pac's good name and reputation, but karma is a biitch. Floyd exposed himself as a boorish ignorant racist and a theif and an abuser of women.
If there is any justice in this universe, floyd will be broke in 2-5 years

When Floyd was gone, fights got made, deals got done, and boxing made a come back in the eyes of the casual fan...
Not saying that Floyd is the whole problem in boxing, but the dude does love to "try" and hold the sport hostage...
Boxing or it's fans don't need that.
Also: You said boxing didn't need Floyd, then pretty much went on to say why it did...?....I don't get it. Was that a bit of double talk?Last edited by HandSpeed303; 09-12-2010, 07:02 PM.
