If the fight falls apart again, then I think any hopes of May vs Pac happening are out the window. Once that happens, then there is no point of Manny taken fights to battle Floyd's recent PPV sales.

When Floyd did 1.4 mill against Mosley the last properly promoted fight Manny was involved in did 1.25. Those two fights were what gave Manny the right to ask for 50-50 because 150k more buys isn't enough to justify a bigger split of either.

If he did 700K against Williams with proper promotion (2 months or so, and a 24-7) then he doesn't get a 50-50 split.

Well considering Williams has never been on PPV and the fact that he only has a handfull on fans on the internet, It's pretty safe to say it will be close to the same numbers as Pac vs Clottey. Pac will be the only person carrying this whereas with Margarito....atleast you have the Mexican fan base.

I said 1 million the minimum. Anything less and Manny is a$$ out and will get ****d at the negotiation table (which is why I feel the fight will be killed once and for all).

If he does 1 million plus then it's similar to Marquez vs Mayweather in which you have a draw fighting a guy who has a similar fan base behind him. Also both are considered shames by most, so the parallels are definately there.

I don't think that is a legit reason but it's something Top Rank can use to push for a 45-55 or even a 50-50 split.
