do natural peak welters even exist? pac and cotto were the two best fighters around and i guess they don't qualify as natural since they started their career at lower weights. so who else was around. paul williams started his career at a higher weight so he doesn't count and margarito started at lightweight so he's out. judah is a 140 pounder so he's gone. that leaves us with only one guy left.............carlos "tata" baldomir! he fits all the criteria. he was peak, and he was great(he must be if he was lineal) and he was the only natural welterweight that was around the past 5 years.

Since we are talking tecnicalities and you said "I dont think anyone would have considered LaMotta great then or if they do now"

Hmm you want to restate your position...
Youre exposing yourself once again, who cares about Bert Sugar's list? Its opinion, like I said LaMotta wasnt a great fighter at 20 and 21 years old, you really want to debate that?

first of all, at the time u are talking about, weight classes were nowhere near as static as they are now. yes srr weighed at ww limits in a lot fo their fights, but its totally different than weight classes today, because he would have never been allowed to fight lamotta in this day and age. which is totally amazing. but ur comparing apples and oranges. robinson was more than a ww, he weighed many dfferent weights and i think he fought lamotta at such a low weight because it allowed him to outbox him more effectively. robinson is a god of boxing, but u dont understand his sitory enough to use him in your arguments so stop it.
he would never have been allowed to fight lamotta...dude seriously ..shut up... That is dumb. Robinson could have fought who ever he wanted to fight. learn boxing. I know his story, you seem to not know it..Learn boxing back out of debate you dont even know what the hell your talking about.

Your cousin bhop just said no one considers jake lamotta great

or that robinson beating lamotta when robinson was a welter and Lamotta was a middle, does not count.

No you cant answer a simple questin either.

This like game set, match, checkmate, what ever you want to call it...

So that means you can't back up your own statements.

                  Check mate, you lose.

Now feel free to continue your circle jerk with Bhop, using more longwinded talking points without backing them up, like the one I caught.

I guess making long multi-paragraphs, you expect nobody will bother to read them. But I did.

Yes you made it up, I said I dont know if anyone would rate him as a great fighter when he fought Robinson at aged 20 and 21. Stay off boxrec, it does more harm than good.
