Not really, to me it was nothing more than a tune up-ring rust emliminator.

Before the fight, its wasnt as a 'Floyds definitely going to win, bull**** fight' as it percieved now. Alot of people though it was going to be competitive, some even thought Marquez was going to win, and Pacqiauo fanboys said Marquez would school Floyd lol

Realistically, i knew Mayweather would have an easy fight, and of course size was a factor, but size wasn't the lone reason Floyd won the fight, he outclassed Marquez, that itself is a very good acheivment, and i feel its overlooked. It's not the only time a fighter has moved up from 135 to 147 and won, and Marquez is a world class fighter, man. That being said for a first fight back after a lay off, i was ok with it, as long as he fought Mosley or Pacqiauo after it, and he did, so i was cool with it, i may not have been the greatest win but it was a good win. I think its unfair ALL credit has been taken away.

            Mayweather vs. Juan M. Marquez
            All Time Great vs. Great

He Mentality and Physically just Outclassed him in everyway.
but Marquez was more competitive than Mosely was throughout the WHOLE fight.

            So Marquez gets credit.

                Joke fight. Joke win.

Only the ******est would think otherwise.

JMM's best weight is 26' and the Fraud cheated him anyway just to be on the "safe" side.

                We know what it is.

I think Floyd gets an unjustified bad wrap, regarding the weights and size of some of his opponents (people should bear in mind that Floyd himself is a fairly small welterweight). However, this win over Marquez was a fairly vacuous victory, in my opinion. When Floyd fought Hatton, Ricky was able to make the weight and be in top shape; I can give Floyd real credit for that performance (unlike some). Marquez, though, came in to their fight bloated and flabby at the weight. He was like a drowning man in the ring.

Of Floyd's last six fights, though, there are only two (Baldomir and Marquez) which don't really impress me. The other four - Zab, Oscar, Ricky and Mosley - I think, make for a largely impressive run.

That fight wasn't a tune up. Floyd tried to pass it off as a legitimate fight. It was billed "Numero One, Numero Dos". It had a 24/7.

To say that Marquez was chosen as a tune up would mean that Floyd purposely tried to con the casual public into thinking it was a legitimate, competitive fight. How exactly is that helping boxing?

I've seen this comment on youtube and has got a lot of thumbs up

its funny to me how people say "look what pac did to oscar and hatton" but wont bring up the fact that mayweather totally destroyed marquez in the most lopsided victory in compybox history. and for those who dont know marquez is the guy who by almost every experts score card beat manny twice.

True boxing fans, im talking about guys who know the sport.. in and out of the ring.. do you rate this victory?

Floyd gets 100% credit for Mosley win ( dont be going on about being fixed, Bull**** )
No, he doesn't get credit for the win and no I don't rate it.

                      Why?

Marquez looked small against Diaz and Casamayor. After barely edging those fights out, he's expected to jump two more weight classes, and the weight class he was at wasn't a comfortable one for him to begin with.

So he moves up and Mayweather is supposed to move down but doesn't, he comes in as a welterweight and looked like a middleweight on fight night.

When Marquez and Pacquiao fought, it was on an even playing field. When Marquez fought Mayweather it wasn't.
