tell me this. when does going to war with a fighter translate as going life and death with him? (like you claim) before the knock out JMM was ahead on the cards, & then he knocked diaz out. i agree that JMM doesn't belong at welterweight. but i didn't complain too much because mayweather had just come back from a 2 year lay off & it was a tune up.

Being a fan of both fighters.

I dont rate this fight on his list at all. Cause its obviously wasnt Marquez comfortable weight class. It showed, and Marquez just wanted that paycheck. He never even fought in that weight class to begin with.

To me this fight is the same as Pac-DLH, even tho it was DLH fault. DLH was handicapped trying to perform at a weight he hasnt been in since 2001. Both fights look good on paper but tactical bs. Pac dont get credit for DLH and Mayweather dont get credit for Marquez.

Someone please explain how FMJ used his size to win this fight? Looked to me like superior skill, speed and ring IQ.

Stop being a pedantic twat. Going to war, life n death struggle. A prime JMM fighting at his prime weight would piss on a fighter like Juan Diaz, he wouldnt struggle.

I think the win is underrated in all honesty. The guy was pound for pound and he outboxed him for 12 rounds. If he threw his weight around and used his physical build to his example I wouldn't be impressed but he used technique to defeat Marquez.

Exactly! Weight weight weight!!! When it was 99% technique. Plus, why do so many seem to forget that he dominated the #2 P4P with an almost 2 yr layoff. What fighter has ever dominated JMM without a layoff, let alone with one. Pac certainly didn't.

It was like beating an old 20th ranked welterweight contender. So no, no credit.

But that weight made Marquez lose everything that makes him so good. He slowed way down, had no power, had no reflexes, and probably didn't have the stamina he normally does.

How the hell can anyone deny this?

I've seen this comment on youtube and has got a lot of thumbs up

its funny to me how people say "look what pac did to oscar and hatton" but wont bring up the fact that mayweather totally destroyed marquez in the most lopsided victory in compybox history. and for those who dont know marquez is the guy who by almost every experts score card beat manny twice.

True boxing fans, im talking about guys who know the sport.. in and out of the ring.. do you rate this victory?

Floyd gets 100% credit for Mosley win ( dont be going on about being fixed, Bull**** )
of course I give him credit he schooled the mexi**** for 12 straight rounds.
