boxing is not much different from being a drug dealer if u asked me. sure u have all the fame and glory while you are on top, but when it's all gone, u pay the price. just remember all of that the next time we start hating a fighter for not doing something we want him to do.

I'm all for a fighter putting himself first. All i'm saying is, its idiotic to think that a fighter owes us fans nothing. If not for us, boxing would go down the tubes even further than it already has.
I don't think you could say any fighter owes us anything.

Oh no? How many of them would be rich had it not been for us paying fans?

No fighter near his weight would have enough to beat him. he the ultimate boxer IMO the only thing he lacks which makes him hated is HEART!!!! He does not possess the heart to fight the top fighters around his weight.
Pac's real weight now is 140 lbs. Tell all those big challengers to drain themselves and fight Manny at his weight. Pac's giving them favors for big money.

Which top rank story do you believe?:
                  1. Margarito's interview in February where he says Bob promised him Nov. fight with Manny?
                  2. SEVERAL quotes from both Pac and Arum in regards to them both wanting a Nov 13th showdown with Floyd?

This is where you and other Manny fans get stuck. Lets just leave floyd out of it and decide whci top rank story you believe Bob/Tony or Bob/Manny?

                  And my answer was....

Bob Arum has made it clear, that despite plans for Pac/Margarito being underway, his door will remain open should Floyd be interested again.

Heres the thread link in case u need to refresh your memory. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...417603&page=25

Now to answer your NEW question.....

Floyd was offered $8mil for a fight with Margarito. He went on the record to say himself that he made $1 more for fighting Baldomir. Me personally, I would have fought Margarito for 1 dollar less and silenced the critics.

As for Oscar, I dont blame Floyd for fighting Oscar, but when the fight with Cotto was practically being pushed down his throat, he made 101 excuses as to why he doesnt want to fight him. Excuses ranging from he needs to be his own ceo, to he lives in PR.
This wasa something completely different and you ducked that too.

Respectfully, there is no way you fight a fringe champ in Margarito instead of the lineal and undisputed champion in Baldo. I'll take you at your word but don't act like the WBO title would have given floyd more respoect in 2006 then the lineal undisputed title.

You can't seperate the two. Bob told floyd he couldn't get $10 mil for cotto or $20 mil for ODH. There was no Marg/ODH option. There were 2 options:

stay with top rank and get (maybe) $16 mil or leave top rank for the potential $20-$25 mil with ODH after Baldo.

I find it hard to believe you would take the Cotto/Marg option.

Just like Pacquiao, though great, he's only one fighter. It wouldn't be that different.

It will for me, he is nothing but a prima donna who talk lots of **** about being the best but carefully selects his opponents when they are ready to be taken.

Id rather see less talented fighters like Cotto fighting the best and putting on a show.
