It was Cotto who ruined Margarito not MOSLEY.

Indeed. One could say he was on a road to ruin with that style of his.

I only found 3 rounds to give to Margarito! :shk1: Really, all he did was wing his shots and hardly land anything. Yes, there was oodles of pressure, but Cotto was constantly snapping his back with clean and accurate punches.

So I'm sticking with this scorecard. I watched it very carefully this time, and even re-watched some rounds just to be sure (particularly the ninth, which I ended up reversing).
I had Margas up by two points by the time the fight was stopped..

I just feel this is like me saying that Cotto Wright and the Hoya wars ruined Mosley going into the Mayweather fight..Before Mosley fought Margas people thought Mosley had no chance against Margas and now Cotto ruined him..Sorry not buying it..IMO Cintron is a way harder puncher then Cotto and he did not ruin him...

but shane had impressive performance in his last fight. cotto or margrito have not look good in their last fights so the comparison cannot be make.

shane not knocked down in ten years and cotto and margrito knocked out recently.

It's a quite common assumption and I agree, Margarito took a lot out of Cotto and vice versa

Was Margarito really that declined going into the Mosley fight (Doug Fischer also said Margarito had a terrible training camp)? Or simply going up against a different style of fighter and really mentally distracted since the ****er got caught right before the fight trying to load his gloves?
I was one of the few who called Mosley/Margarito properly because of shanes clinch. he'd never let marg off.

I had no idea it would be a KO though, just that Marg would never get off because he'd be clinched a lot.

That beas a brutal beating.... shane was putting absolutely everything on marg. he was loading as if he was hitting a heavybag after a bad arguement.

Yeah weird...I have to re-watch cuz i cant remember times when Marg landed cleanly so much to swell Cotto up like that..Even in replays Marg didnt look he did much..Interesting nonetheless..

I agree with thisboth Tony and Cotto are still good but not as great as they were prior to their fight

Why do you hate Pacquiao so much? It's like every post you make now is to depreciate Pacquiao vs Margarito fight. Come on man, just enjoy the fight. You know and everybody knows it damn well you'll watch the fight so why all the hate.
