Honestly I'm shocked at the support Margarito is receiving. I mean the argument is so weak most just try to deflect it by admitting guilt and saying what about this guy doing this or that guy doing that. Or even worse attacking the journalist. Lyle is a decent writer who is waaaayyyy more knowledgable than us posting, and dude must have skin an inch thick. How come there are still non-forgiving people trying to bury Antonio Margarito, can these people say to themselves that they are perfect? Antonio Margarito was already granted his privilege to fight in the ring in the state of Texas. When criminals get acquitted, they regain their freedom and given another chance to live a decent life. Every person with enough education knows that...and don't try to blame Manny Pacquiao for giving Antonio Margarito a big name because they are fighting on November 13. Antonio Margarito is still a good marketable fighter because he does'nt duck anybody.

You need some context my friend. Criminals can lead a normal life but they still pay a price. For instance you can't register a firearm as a former felon. Nor can you pass many required back ground checks for employment. Having loaded gloves should have repurcussions. This business stinks to high heaven. I have no problem with live and let live but the licensing in Texas has an unpleasant odor. Also the catchweight title from the WBC for two fighters who have accomplished nothing in that divisions is such a farce that I challenge anyone to defend that decision with any degree of credibility. It can't be done.

This article was not very amusing for many reasons. The most obvious reason was the bragging about his wife's fantasy football's accomplishments. In all seriousness, who gives a flying ****? Tell her to stay on the damn kitchen rather than do ******ed **** like fantasy football and being proud of it. Second, to me it has gotten to the point where I was as pissed as everyone here but then I became sincere and said to myself "you know what I'm no hypocrite" I really don't care. I just want to see good boxing matches. Whether the sport is tainted well no **** it has been this way for a long time. Paquiao has been choosing his opponents perfectly from 135 until 147 and now 154 wait never mind 151 to make him seem like he deserves all his glory. You cannot say for a fact that the fight is going to be another Mosley vs Margarito. If you truly believe that to be a fact, then you are writing for the wrong sport. There are numerous reasons why the fight is not going to be the same not at all.
The main reason being that Margarito was not focused on the match. Who would? He was caught. The second one is that no other boxer on this planet wants to win this match as much as Antonio. His arguable use of loaded gloves throughout his career doesn't explain his lack of that distinguished granite chin he was characterized by. If Margarito is 100% expect to see a very good fight and possible a major upset.

Great post! PED use IS cheating, but not as egregious as loading gloves. Personally, to level the whole field at this point, I think that every marquis fighter (maybe every professional boxer?) should be subjected to the most advanced testing techniques available, year round. If a fighter fails, the same sample should be tested again for 'false positives' and if it is confirmed, he should be banned for life. Obviously I feel the same way about handwrap and glove tampering...but that should also be regarded as criminal.
