Nobody's knocking him for not weighing the max...he's being knocked because he's demanding his opponent to not come in at the max as well...if it's for a 154 lb. title and Pacquiao wants to come in at 150 or 151 fine, but Margarito should be permitted to come in at the max of 154 if he wants to...understand???for people who knock on pac for not making the max limit for a fight, look at corley vs maidana...corley didnt make 140, he weighed in at 138...does that mean that corley shouldnt have fought maidana for maidanas belt? the max weight limit is not a weight where a boxer needs to weigh in in order to fight in that division...it just means he cannot weigh over the max weight limit...anything between the weight range is a legit division fightComment

Yes, but Corley was ALLOWED to weigh in at 140 if he pleased, the actual weight limit. Where as, in this fight, Margarito isnt ALLOWED to weigh in over 150,which obviously favours Pacqiauo as hes the smaller man, its a big difference between the Maidanna fight where he actually chose not to weigh in at 140.for people who knock on pac for not making the max limit for a fight, look at corley vs maidana...corley didnt make 140, he weighed in at 138...does that mean that corley shouldnt have fought maidana for maidanas belt? the max weight limit is not a weight where a boxer needs to weigh in in order to fight in that division...it just means he cannot weigh over the max weight limit...anything between the weight range is a legit division fight
Sure, you don't have to weigh in at the weight limit if you don't want to, and i don't nessercarily disagree with catchweight bouts. However, if your fighthing for a title at a weight class you should at least be allowed to weigh what the weight limit in the weight class is..Comment
