Let's Give Calderon Some Respect In This Thread

yup pretty much. he beat calderon based on being bigger, stronger, and younger which gives him the advantage in the stamina department. its not shocking at all that segura won, i told my wife the same thing before the fight started. segura is nothing special just a wild puncher with decent stamina. as soon as he fights someone bigger, stronger, and younger than calderon with some kind of boxing skills segura loses.Comment

Keep underestimating their skills at destruction and you'll keep being disappointed when your fighters are on their backs.
Do you deny this?
And comparing the sentiment for this fight to that of Dawson/Pascal is inaccurate.
I was one of the many that felt Dawson winning was a foregone conclusion. I admit that no doubt.
I thought Calderon could easily lose this fight. A fighter like him, when the legs go he's done. And I saw a lot of people feeling the same way.
I'm not gonna say Calderon is done...that's unfair to Segura. Calderon was game, but to say he's the fighter he was 5 fights ago is just wrong man.Comment

Yup, and these "typical Mexicans" somehow keep fighting ways to win big fights by crushing the supposedly "more skilled" opponents.
Keep underestimating their skills at destruction and you'll keep being disappointed when your fighters are on their backs.
Well, like I said, its easier to say this after a loss, but contrast it with the praise he got after beating Uribe a few months ago and you see how people change their tunes.Comment

and before you state well he started it with the dirty black thing YOU started it by with the whole typical Mexican fighter thing. Any reason why you felt the need to say that considering Mexican fighters have evolved?Comment
