Oscar won more than 2 rounds. That was a close fight that Floyd stole because had more in the tank in the last few rounds.

boxing is a fight, not a touch fest. Maybe if it was Olympic boxing.

DLH said if he didnt chase after Floyd, then there would be no fight. Can you imagine the fight if DLH did pressure him?
What part of the judging criteria is that?

I know what I saw from De La Hoya and it was little to no clean effective punching, ineffective aggression, solid defense, and decent ring generalship.

De La Hoya didn't dictate where the fight was fought, Floyd went wherever he wanted to go, he landed at least 1 clean punch every round, and his defense was superior.

It doesn't take away the fact that the other fighter won a third of the fight. Unless the 8 rounds were won big, 8-4 was a competitive fight.

Competitive doesn't mean 7-5 man that's a common mistake IMO.

Clearly Floyd won this fight. I didn't see no SD.

But it indeed was a huge letdown considering the hype behind it, but who REALLY expected Floyd to get into exchanges with even that version of Oscar? I got duped by HBO's marketing team too

I dont think any number of rounds = competitive, infact its non-nonsensical to suggest it does, ive seen guys lose nearly every round, but watching the fight itself, would make you think it was a very competitive fight, even though they might still lose a clear decision.

              Mayweather vs Dela Hoya

              Round 1 Mayweather

DLH was inactive and Mayweather landed jabs and a sneaked a few
              hooks around the guard.

              Round 2 DLH

DLH countered well in combination and landed the upjab a couple of times

              Round 3 Mayweather

Close round. DLH started well but faded and Mayweather took control again
down the stretch. DLH caught some counter right hands in this round to

              Round 4 DLH

DLH did well early and mid round whilst Mayweather missed many
of his shots. DLH threw a big flurry and pinned Mayweather on the ropes and ****** away at his body
but he was not that effecttive the way he was early/mid round, Mayweather came back a little down
the stretch but DLH landed the cleaner more effective punches in this round imo.

              Round 5 Mayweather

Good round for Floyd, he hit Oscar with clean counters throughout the round and tagged him with a shot
when DLH's was pressing him on the ropes that dipped Oscar's legs momentarily.
Mayweather was more aggresive toward the end whilst DLH fell into that robot stalking mode being
              inactive.

              Round 6 DLH

Mayweather was winning this but Oscar came back toward the end and possibly stole it. DLH landed
his best shots of the fight, a good right hand.

              Round 7 Mayweather
Not much happened in this round but i felt Mayweather landed the cleaner more effective shots

              Round 8 Mayweather

DLH started well but he faded and let Mayweather dictate the pace and come back with the cleaner shots.
DLH was to inactive to take this round imo.

              Round 9 Mayweather

DLH threw a load of shots that were either slipped or missed. Mayweather is landing the clean punches
              whilst DLH in too inactive.

              Round 10 Mayweather (clear)

DLH inactive. Mayweather landed the cleaner shots and threw more, that simple

              Round 11 Mayweather

Mayweather controlled the round by landing cleaner and being more active, DLH was inactive but came
to life right at the end of the round and landed his best punch in a few rounds a hard right hand but not
enough to take the round imo

              Round 12 DLH
I felt Mayweather was winning it but DLH's aggresiveness down the stretch took the round he actually
nailed Mayweather good right at the end of the round.

Mayweather took advantage of DLH's aged reflexes and robotic style imo. Years ago Mosley took advantage
of DLH's robotic style and beat him by using movement and speed, well Mayweather did the same imo, only
this DLH was past his best and Mayweather only needed single shots to dominate the fight whilst Shane
needed combinations to dominate the prime DLH.

DLH did not use the jab as much as i thought he did the first time i watched it, that said DLH did
land the jab when he threw it and there was no reason why he stopped throwing it. Mayweather was not
countering over the jab he was throwing the half hook/right hand round the side of DLH's glove when
he had his hands up, so i dont understand why DLH stopped throwing it.

DLH did okay early on but he seemed to fall asleep and into that robot stalker mode where he stops punching.
Mayweather is criticzed for not throwing enough but in this fight i felt it was DLH who was not doing
enough down the stretch. DLH threw a lot in flurries early on but as the fight wore on he fell into
that stalking mode of not punching as i described, and even though Mayweather was not doing a lot
in terms of throwing punches in bunches, he was landing more of his shots and throwing them over the
coarse of 3 min not throwing flurries/spurts and then switching off for the rest of the round, he also
dictated the pace for the most part.

I felt Mayweather won the fight clearly tbh.

WOOW 1 clean punch per round, brilliant.

                And reread the bolded part.....really?

                  I had Floyd winning 8-4.

I have no idea how anyone could justify Oscar getting a draw let alone winning.

well the entire sparring session i mean fight was probably fixed including the close SD to make it look close so that a rematch could be made and more $$$ could be had by all. look how terrible delahoya looked against forbes and pac. mayweather could only win a close fight against that dude? hard to believe.

I thought the fight was ok, sure it didn't live up to the hype but it was decent fight. I have seen far worse fights.
