I would say it was competitive but not close. Floyd really won like 8-4.

Remember Young Mayweather ended up injuring his right hand against Baldo?

Floyd won at least 8 rounds against DLH.

DLH got some gift rounds from the judges for his activity during the fight, but he was not landing any clean shots.

8-4 is a competitive fight, De La Hoya-Mayweather was not a competitive fight.

You could mistake it as 8-4 the first time around, but if you watch the fight again and give Oscar more than 3 rounds, you need to hand in your judging book.

If you cant clean punches then yes.

But inactivity and constint pressure from your opponent will make you lose rounds

DLH said if he didnt chase after Floyd, then there would be no fight. Can you imagine the fight if DLH did pressure him?

Not necessarily, i have seen closer fights than that, but fights were you still felt the guy who won, won clearly.

I gave DLH rounds 2 and 4, round 6, albeit i thought he just about stole round 6, and i gave him the last round.

Floyd performed amazingly against Corley and Judah even though he hurt his hands in those fights. It wasn't no bull**** either, you could see him be more selective in the latter rounds against those two.

Does anyone think the SD was put in there to make a rematch look credible?
no he got an sd because everyone was pro de la hoya and thought this would be his last fight.
