Competitive rounds in a lopsided fight does not equal a competitive fight. Ex. Sergio Martinez vs. Kermit Cintron where Kermit would keep the rounds close, but clearly lost in a non competitive fight. De La Hoya-Mayweather is a fight where a very partisan crowd was on hand and can sway any judge's scorecard.

How could Floyd only win a SD after outboxing Oscar for 9 rounds? Oscar only won 3, 4 if you love him. DLH didn't even figure out what Floyd did to make him stop jabbing as much.

Does anyone think the SD was put in there to make a rematch look credible?

I semi watched it again recently and I'm sure there were rounds where Floyd outthrew DLH so even that shouldn't have mattered.

Clear win for Mayweather, but that decision made me believe that he could get robbed if he was fighting a popular enough guy unless he totally dominates them like he did Mosley. So I think Pacquiao should just aim to try and look busy if he is not having any actual joy against Mayweather and he may win a decision.

Oscar also had the size to bully Floyd around, the hand placement defense, and chin to make Floyd's offense look not so devastating. manny would be much slightly smaller than Floyd and easier to hit cleanly than Oscar.

the way floyd fought in that fight seemed like he refused to step on the gas..not sure if he was just being cautious cause the mayorga fight was fresh in his mind or if he was purposly trying to keep it close..either way he clearly won
