LSU- Saban is gone now what?
Florida- aint been **** since Spurrier left
Tennassee- When they acttually win an important game let me know
    Arkansas- Average at best
Alabama- If this was the 70's that might mean something

Arburn- Legit, but have been DESTROYED by USC 2 of the last 3 years.
    Georgia- Legit

They are better overall than the Pac-10, but I'll take the Pac-10's two best over any of those teams. However Cal is going to have a down year considering they lost both Rodgers and JJ Arington.

You are wrong my friend. I watch as much or more college football than anyone I know. Far more than most sports writers and coaches who vote in the polls. Last year USC was great and Cal was very good, Arizona ST and Oregon ST were decent. After that in was a joke.

The ACC now has Miami, FSU, ******ia Tech, BC, plus ******ia, Georgi Tech and NC State, all of whom look to be good if not great coming into this season.

The SEC has 3 teams that will contend for the national championship in Tennessee, LSU and Florida, plus Georgia, Auburn and Alabama who will all likely spend time in the top 25.

.....I just want to add that USC has been far and away the best team in the nation for the last two years and probably soon to make it three. The Pac 10 is nowhere the best conference however. The SEC is in a toss up with the big ten but they are losing ground and are soon to be ranked behind the big ten and the ACC. The SEC(and I don't care about the reasons) schedules D2 teams on the early schedule every single year. The big ten rarely schedules D2 schools and usually plays early home games against Miami(of Ohio), Bowling green, etc. etc. They may not be the best teams in the nation but they are D1 and they play in bowl games nearly every year.

These are the top 8 SEC teams in no particular order:

              Tennessee
              Georgia
              Florida
              Auburn
              LSU
              Arkansas
              Alabama
              South Carolina

The top 8 teams from the Pac 10:

              USC
              California
              Arizona State
              Oregon State
              UCLA
              Oregon
              Washington State
              Stanford

USC may be the best team in the country, but Cal and every other team in the PAC 10 would get destroyed by Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Auburn or LSU.

Please don't make me laugh with this Pac ten is the best football conference in the nation ****.

The Pac Ten isn't as good as the new ACC, or the Big 12 either. It's close between the Big 10 and Pac ten for 4th best conference. I think the Pac ten was better last year but heading into this seaon the big ten looks better on paper.
Look at your post closely Santino, you said USC is the best teamonly on paper in the beginning of your post, then you said USC is the best team in the country in the third to last paragraph of your post,

Well to be honest my 2 year old cousin knows more than some of the guys who vote in the polls.

Saying USC was a paper champion is all I need to know.

lol, so who is this hypothetical #2 team that is going to beat ever team in the SEC?

....Great example of how tough the Big Ten is. Look at Penn State. They were national contenders(more like a powerhouse) nearly every year until they entered the big ten. They had a couple of early years of success but the pounding that they take week in and week out has been too much for them to ever get back into the national limelight. If you threw any other national power from any other conference into the big ten they would struggle mightily. It's a physical conference and your gonna get pounded on each and every week of the season.

I was talking about Cal and USC last year. Not I said Cal is going to have a down year this year though.
