....Great example of how tough the Big Ten is. Look at Penn State. They were national contenders(more like a powerhouse) nearly every year until they entered the big ten. They had a couple of early years of success but the pounding that they take week in and week out has been too much for them to ever get back into the national limelight. If you threw any other national power from any other conference into the big ten they would struggle mightily. It's a physical conference and your gonna get pounded on each and every week of the season.
In all fairness alot of Penn State falling off has to do with Joe Pa hanging on like Holyfield.
Look at your post closely Santino, you said USC is the best teamonly on paper in the beginning of your post, then you said USC is the best team in the country in the third to last paragraph of your post,
They are the best team on paper coming into this season. We don't know how good they are because the season hasn't started yet.
USC was arguable the best team in the country last year but, since they didn't play Auburn we will never know and two years ago the shared the title with LSU. You can kid yourself into believeing that you can see into the hypothetical past and proclaim the trojans the undisputed champs but the fact remains they were not the only undefeated team either year.
In all fairness alot of Penn State falling off has to do with Joe Pa hanging on like Holyfield.
...Maybe in the last few years but he has had that team in the big ten for like ten years now right. I know it's at least been that long if not much longer.
lol, so who is this hypothetical #2 team that is going to beat ever team in the SEC?
This aint a fact though, we dont know who is gonna go down, maybe they two pac 10 power teams get better, we dont know maybe its Auburn and Tennessee who go down, USC has won the last two meetings against Auburn, Auburn is the best in your conf. and USC in ours, whats to say USC should be underdog now, Auburn lost their best player in the Cadillac
Gatti is at best a C fighter, He sucks badly, he has no great wins, his biggest win was like 10 years ago vs Rafael Ruelas, He has losses to stiffs like Ivan Robinson(twice)', Mickey Ward , Angel Manfredy, and he has never beaten a true top contender, he has fought 2 good fighters in Oscar and Mayweather and they both tortured him to death,
Mayweather should step up and fight a true upper weight opponent like he said he would when he stepped up in weight ,But he fights the Tony Bruseles, DeMarcus Corleys, Phillip N'Dous and his big fight is overated Arturo Gatti,
He beat 2 top notch opponents in J.L Castillo and Chico Corrales and a long long time ago but one fight vs Castillo was a real questionable win, When he was at 130 pounds , he could have fought,Barrera,Morales ,Freitas,Casamayor,Pacquiao, J.M.Marquez, but he claimed he cleared out the division and went up in weight, Morales was calling out Mayweather alot when they were in same division weight and Morales does fight everyone but Mayweather did not go for the fight. He was always calling out Gatti, nobody but Gatti
Mayweather is easily top 5 but he needs to step up in level of opponents cause he hasnt fought anyone for a long while, I would put him at best #4 but win a big fight May and ill move you up in P4P ranks
You got a Very good P4P list, the only ARGUABLE dispute i had was Floyd
This is a pretty bias post, Mayweather is a great fighter, and with wins over JLC and Corrales why would he need to fight Casamoyar? Look at his record again, he has beaten soem really tough oppenents, just because he makes them llok bad doesn't mean they are bad fighters. Look at how bad he beat Corrales, it's not that Corrales is a bad fighter, it's that PBF is just really good.
...Just found what I was looking for. Penn State is entering their 13th season in the big ten this year. Man I bet they wish they could turn back the clock. Actually the university has made much more money by being in the big ten but I bet their fans would want to turn that clock back.

Auburn won't be the best team in the SEC this year. It will be Tennessee, LSU or UF. USC would likely be the favorite against any of them on a neutral field, but I don't see any other PAC ten team staying within 14 points of any of them.
.....If USC runs the table then they should play for the real national title regardless of who also goes undeafeated and gets "left out". Remember I said that if Ohio State also runs the table. lol lol lol

Sorry bro but your facts are faulty.
In their first 7 years in the Big 10 Penn ST went:
10-2
12-0
9-3
11-2
9-3
9-3
10-3
In 1994 they went undefeated and it was their weak big ten schedule and the fact that they had to play in the Rose Bowl that kept them from winning or sharing the title.
It's only in the tast few years, since 2000, that Joe has really fallen off.

None of this is for sure, maybe USC wont be the best this year, maybe its not any of the teams you name that steps up, maybe George Bush claims World Peace and awful Duke wins the title, nothing is fact, But USC should still be favorite, someone unexpected will step up in the Pac 10, it always happens, The Pac 10 is not a conference as good top to bottom as the Acc but they are the best conference in terms of if it came down to playoffs of a selected amount of teams come out of each conference, the Pac 10 would reign supreme cause one of their teams will come out on top and the Pac 10 teams that made it in the Tournament, will be somewhere up their, close to winning this tournament
