I like how people try and pretend Hatton was not the #1 guy at 140. The only person who was remotely close to having a claim was Victor Ortiz when he was on the streak he was on. Hatton was the Ring and Lineal Champ....and his resume was light years ahead of any one else at 140 during the time Manny fought him.

If you gonna lie and try and change history at least be smart about it. 2008 wasn't that long ago....so what I said should be common knowledge to anyone with a brain who followed the sport during that time.

#1 ? What has he done ? He hardly beat lazcano then he had a little jumping around with princess malignaggi, common son if he was any good at 140 why did he only last 2 rounds? Clottey lasted 12 round and all he did was keep his gloves up.

If hatton was the best @ 140 at the time why didn't we see a fighter that night,he lost before the fight even started.

The hatton who fought floyd was a healthy hatton who didn't know what losing means.

But you and these other wannabe boxing fans on this site can keep dreaming.

If he wasn't number 1 then who was? I like how you failed to answer that part of my prior reply.

Hatton was the #1 guy at 140 in 2008...like Whitaker was the #1 guy at 147 in 1998.

What does him that have to do with him being number 1 at 140 you Floyd ****rider?

like it said, just name who should have been number 1 over hatton at the time. He was the lineal/ring champ and had the best resume by far at that time.

The only person I feel PBF should have fought on the TS list is Cotto when they were both undefeated.

The only person I can say Floyd ducked was Johnston at 135 but at the same time I can understand that move. Now he should have fought Cotto and Margarito but chose not to. That's another story for another day.

The problem is these Floyd fans are using this as a defense mechanism. They are so use to hearing Floyd is a pvssy, ducker etc....that they tried to deflect it on a fighter like Manny.

I personally think it's sad as there shouldn't be any reason to tear another fighters career down to make yourself feel better about your favorite fighter.
