Apparently, because I've read a couple of longer posts in this thread that have an element of ******ation to them.

One of the things I found funny was how you criticized Tyson's "coke-addict friends", yet previous you gave so much praise to some of those known "coke-addict" opponents that Tyson fought like Tucker, Thomas and Tubbs.

        Brilliant!

The big myth is how people actually believe Tyson was a myth, as if it was an illusion, as if it wasn't real, that's the myth. Because it was real, and he was no illusion, his sharp and accurate comination punching was literally second to none lb4lb (I'm talking about the Catskills Tyson).

On a 'who beats who' basis I'd pick Tyson over anybody ( 86-88 ) ... but you measure a fighters greatness on longevity and unfortunately Mike had too many mental issues to remain focused and also fell out of love with the sport due to achieving so much and so early ... so guys like Lennox and Vander are greater than Tyson because they avenged defeats and could cope much better mentally

Tyson is the most overhyped Heavyweight ever. The man could have been good, there's no doubt about it. However, going to prison and signing up with Don King hurt him too much. If he didn't sign with King, and didn't go to prison, perhaps we'd be singing a different tune though. However, looking at what he could have been, instead of what he is, is pointless.

He was a good heavyweight during his time, but never great. If you say Tyson is a top 5 heavyweight of all time... then you must also concede that Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, and Buster Douglas all deserve to be top 5 considering they knocked him around the ring.

There is no way that Tyson would of beaten Bowe or Holyfield had they fought ... the prison thing doesnt even come into it ... Tyson was finished in 1988 he was never the same ... Tyson of 86 - 88 beats Bowe and Holyfield every day of the week and twice on a Sunday ... but if Tyson actually fought them instead of going to jail he'd of been reduced to a punchers chance because he fell apart long before that
