Olympic Testing & Olympic STYLE Testing (Difference)

Olympic Testing= 24/7 365 Random blood and urine...

Olympic "Style" Testing= Random blood and urine from a certain time to a certain time.

I dont think people are paying attention to the word "Style". I look at it like, Olympic athletes are under contract all year, from year to year, Boxers from fight to fight. So boxers will be using a certain "Style" of drug testing while preparing for the fight. Random blood and urine, till the event date.

Am I the only person who noticed this?

Most people don't care about the testing issue. For years we have had problems with drugs in boxing and no one gave a damn. It's just part of this Floyd/Pac drama.

    But answering your question: yes.

I was just wondering, that one word changes everything to me. I mean, what do they call it for the olympics?
To me it's just a "style" of testing to be used (Random blood and urine)..

Olympic style for me means its RANDOM testing. Random has no end. whether you're fighting or not you should keep getting tested. and i dont think that is what Mayweather wanted. if there is a certain time or period i wouldnt call it a RANDOM though.

"Olympic" style testing- deemed to present risks by athletic commissions

not to mention, experts agree that out of competition testing is much more important than testing without a cutoff.

manny agreed to testing far stricter than what all fighters has to go through. without having a history of cheating.

floyd needs to grow some balls so you guys can stop making excuses for him

the whole point of the test was supposedly to deter cheaters.

what floyd proposed won't assure that. ask conte.

so basically, your'e asking for manny to take a test that is far stricter than the standard, he is uncomfortable it for whatever reason, and won't even assure him that he didn't cheat.

remember, testing during out of competition is much more emphasized than testing without a cutoff.

                  cramming 1 year's worth of testing in 2 month's isn't as effective

Not having a history of cheating is irrelevant. The OST was a stipulation floyd wanted. Random OST in no way affects fighters performance. Manny lost to Morales not because of random OST, because he got outboxed. As a pathetic excuse he said he felt tired from givng blood. Manny and Morales retook the usual pre fight blood test because the original tests were lost.

Random OST prevents either fighter from using PED's the "right" way, ie cycling on and off. It doesn't matter what Manny agreed to he still insisted on a SPECIFIC dutoff date. By doing so he creates a window where PED's can administered in the proper cycle to maimise performance. Thats the point of the tests not to deter cheating but to catch cheating.
