I would of rather seen Berto vs. Cotto.....this is not a smart move for Cotto. If he wins he would not gain much props given the kid hasn't been tested yet by a top opponent. If he loses...well he might as well retire. Bad way to follow up a good performance against Foreman.

I would take Cotto vs Jr right now but..........

I can't underestimate Roach any more. I think this is a tougher fight for Cotto than people think because of Jr's size and his power which I think is underrated.

If Jr. can come in top shape, have the right game plan and execute it, it will be a tougher fight for Cotto than people think. We also have to consider how much does Cotto have left in the tank and can he withstand another grueling 10-12 round fight with a pressure fighter like Jr.?

I honestley cant beleive how many people are picking cotto to win on here.the guy is shot! he couldnt even hang with pacman a 5'6 little guy that went life and death with jmm!plus chavez jr will train with pacman, in his prime plus the power size and chin to boot. yall shouldnt rag on jr so much if hes a clown and a bum after he stops cotto whats that gonna make your beloved cotto? cotto has a great punch but his stamina sux, and anytime hes getting sustained punishment he just gives up hes damaged even before he beat mosley hed go life and death with fighters much crappier than jr. cotto has nothing in his aresenal to win here, chavez is a b level fighter but by no means a slouch hes very underrated, id like to see yall go 4-0 let alone 40 and 0 even against tomatoe cans. tomatoe cans punch too and it hurts !

Son, if all u got to hang your hat on is JCC JR Mexican boxing is in a sad state. Id personlly hitch my wagon to Montiel or maybe Abner Mares right now, the rest of the buch have been pinatas lately. Getting beaten senseless. When I go to the fights and a mexican is fighting and Im close to ringside I usually bring a bag for the candy thats going to fly out of the ring as he gets beaten on. Im not even a rican and I have to call it like I see it.
