1 lost and all of a sudden a boxer just is not elite anymore....

    Losing should not affect anything.

I have always felt that your greatness is truly proved on how you comeback from a lost.

If Dawson is truly as good as I have said he is. Then he will come back better and stronger than ever after tonight. If he is not what "we" thought he was then we will find out surely. One lost doesn't prove anything.

Fans should stop getting so carried away after a fight. Lets stop being so quick with the judgement calls.

I think this is an example of a night where a fighter just didn't have it, knew it, and didn't want to be in the ring. We've seen Chad in a war, and he wasn't scared of it.

It's not like Pascal was fighting a fantastic fight. He was fighting scared , he just threw those one or two combos that left the judges with no choice but to score the round for him because Dawson refused to respond most the fight.

I would be surprised if we ever saw Chad Dawson look like this ever again. Not every fighter is Floyd Mayweather, they have off nights. I'll chalk this up to that until proven otherwise.

AGREE! You don't give up on a guy after one fight, Dawson is still as good as advertised IMO, he just didn't have his best night as Pascal took advantage of that AS HE SHOULD! We will see during the Rematch just how good Dawson is, the way you bounce back from a lose also says a lot about a fighter

this might end up being a TRILOGY between Pascal and Dawson which is not a bad thing since both of them are still young and that division needs some excitement

but Pascal deserves all the Credit, he fought his ass off so respect to him, I look forward to seeing them fight again real soon

Imagine people giving up on Sugar Ray after losing that first fight to Duran, that is the different between True Boxing fans and you NEW BOXING FANS, you guys are ready to give up on a fighter after one bad performance lol

Dawson is still a beast, Pascal got the win but he wasn't OVERLY IMPRESSIVE nor did a walk away from this fight thinking "IT IS NO WAY DAWSON CAN BEAT THIS GUY"
True. He should get another shot at the title to redeem himself.

He really needs to up his game a lot more than tonight to prove naysayers wrong, though.

He lost a fight. There are no EXCUSES, but perhaps a REASON is the personal stuff he is going through.

I think he dominates the haitian champ in the rematch.

Trigger and mindset, that's really all it is. Unfortunately, the lack of those assets manages to outweigh his boxing skills. Look at guys like Valero or Hatton - they weren't the best boxers, but damn they could pull the trigger whenever the hell they wanted to. Never did they show up gunshy to a fight.

Tonight's version of Dawson would've been clowned by Jones Jr., Hopkins and Calzaghe. With that said, I'll still stick with him. No reason for me to stop supporting a fighter after just one loss. Can the same be said for the rest of you?

                I totally agree.

And to say Dawson doesn't have heart?

Were you guys not watching the 11th round?

Shows how much of a true fan of a fighter is when they automatically turn their back on the fighter after they lose...

                  I'm sticking with Bad Chad.

He's my 2nd favorite fighter behind Floyd and will continue to be there.

                  These people make me sick.

I'm rockin this avi till he fights again.

Spoken like a true boxing fan - one who sticks with his fighter. Remember how Hatton's legions kept on singing long after he got KO'ed by Mayweather and Pacquiao? That's dedication.
