Quintana is a pretty damn good sparring partner to have also!

Pavlik brings ONE style.. not "all kinds"

Completely different camp from one to the other.

      And uh... no... he didn't.
The law cares about intent. Its the difference between 5 years and life.

      The law>> you.

Dude had two contrasting camps in one.

You can't say one wasn't ready for the other... it works both ways.

Williams didn't have a full training camp for Martinez and vice versa.
You know whats not hilarious? That he fought Quintana 2x, used him in sparring and still got pwned.

And you know what's even moar hilarious? That after he fought a master boxer in Sexy for 12 rounds, on top of all the Qeentana experience, he let a Frog outbox his ass for 4 rounds easily.

      gtfo.

In honesty I don't think Martinez was just slacking in training for a tune up. And what about Martinez stamina issues in the Pavlik fight when he took off 4-5 rounds in the middle? That was certainly the biggest fight of his career as well. It's no secret the slick southpaw style is the worst stylistic matchup for Williams... so maybe while Martinez didn't have his full GUN HO training, Williams only got a half ass training camp for the worst style against him.

Luckily for me.. it has zero bearing on this argument.

          Common sense > You

          K.

None of that has any bearing on the inital argument so I really don't care.

Neither fighter was fully prepared for the other.

          It works both ways.

All that extra **** you throw in.. is just that, extra ****.

Common sense would dictate that he had plenty of experience against a slick southpaw after fighting one 2 fights in a row.

You're just grasping at straws and making excuses for a fighter you nuthug and laying claim to common sense when you're exhibiting none.

You nuthug Martinez just the same so throw that out the window.

He fought Quintana.... TWO YEARS ago.

He had half a training camp to prepare for Martinez.. half of one.

Just like Martinez wasn't fully prepared.. neither was Williams.

                It works both ways.

Not to mention Quintana only had a couple sparring sessions with Williams.

These sessions did not help me much for my fight, but they did for the fight of Williams. His people were looking for a lefty with a style similar to Sergio Martinez and they contacted me, but there were only a few sparring sessions, Quintana said

their first fight was close but this time martinez will dominate williams imo. martinez's confidence is soaring high right now especially after beating pavlik whereas williams had a lackluster performance against cintron. martinez too is a bad matchup for williams style-wise. for williams to win he has to learn how to use his range and height advantages to offset martinez craftiness.
