people are just so quick to say a guy is "DUCKING" another fighter I don't think Angulo fears any fighter from 154-160, I can understand him wanting more money especially if Martinez is going to get a Percentage of the gate, but $750k is a lot of money

probably should have negotiated a little more instead of just a "take it or leave it" type of offer

- A shot at the middleweight crown at a catchweight

- A guaranteed HBO comeback fight if he lost

- A promise from the WBC that he wouldn't be dropped from his No. 1 position in the junior middleweight ratings

- His manager and promoter were disappointed he didn't take the fight.

Like he said...He wouldn't mind fighting martinez....but the money has to be right. just treat him fairly. The deal should of just went 50/50. Martinez cuz he's the champion and Angulo because of his draw power in southern cali. You put both of these guys in the ring and it will be a hell of a fight.

$750,000 is a living wage in todays society. That amount feeds alot of people and pays a few bills. Angulo must feel his longivity and window of opportunity in this sport to earn top dollar is wider than I do. Take the cash and dash.

Exactly. It's Martinez's way of gaining revenge on Margarito without having to fight Margarito I guess lol... If a fan calls Angulo a coward or greedy for asking for more money, it just goes to show how clueless they are about a young fighters future, and only watch boxing because they have eye balls lol... But when it comes to their favorite fighter, they hope that their fighter does the right thing lol...

Cintron isn't a middleweight and Officially it was a draw and I don't know if you heard but "officially" Paul Williams won the fight. I know I know I felt Sergio won both fights too but a loss no matter how close the fight is doesn't exactly earn you anything at least in the real world.

Don't get me wrong not saying Sergio didn't deserve to fight Pavlik and in all honesty I like him a lot but he wasn't anymore deserving to fight for a title than Angulo is right now. Just wanted to point out all the hypocrisy in this thread.
