Bute's camp supposedly wasn't even approached, which tells me that Showtime either wanted that USA vs. Europe format or they decided to include the bigger name or they already knew what type of demands and $ it would take for Bute to get involved and didn't want to pay that.

We also forget that Bute has the IBF and that organization is the quickest to strip. I think Bute would've had to vacate to enter the tourney, something I'm not sure he would have done.

He was not invited, but when Taylor didn't want to participate in the Super 6 they needed a SUBSTITUTE ! I guess Bute didn't need to be a substitute in his career... Anyway, it is planned that Bute will fight the winner of the Super 6.

Don't ask to much for Bute vs Dawson, Bute is very underrated and will destroy Dawson who likes to fight against 40 + and will only fight Pascal because he was told to.

BTW Dawson is not in the same division as Bute, since when a WC MUST fight another fighter who is in a different division.

If you knew **** about boxing you would know that Pascal is a natural 168'lber just like Bute is. Pascal, unlike Bute, had the sack to move up in weight to take tougher fights that would garner him more respect.

Bute can't duck Dawson. They are not in the same division. If Cunningham calls out Dawson but wants to fight him at cruiser, would you say Chad is ducking him if he doesn't take the fight? If Chad agrees to go to 168 and Bute refuses the fight, it's ok to say he's ducking Dawson though.I would like to see Bute-Dawson at 170. I know some of you are not fans of catchweights, but in this situation I believe both guys would be at their best at that weight.

I pretty much agree although my estimate would be that Bute will fight the supersix winner and that wont be 5 years.

Still it's clear that Bute will keep fighting clubfighters like Brinkley for another year. I'm convinced that he wont fight Dawson and he wont fight one of the two eliminated from the supersix come christmas.
