Bute's camp supposedly wasn't even approached, which tells me that Showtime either wanted that USA vs. Europe format or they decided to include the bigger name or they already knew what type of demands and $ it would take for Bute to get involved and didn't want to pay that.

We also forget that Bute has the IBF and that organization is the quickest to strip. I think Bute would've had to vacate to enter the tourney, something I'm not sure he would have done.
I'm not sure if I typed it but I wanted to mention that my memory is kinda fuzzy on those events. I know that they wanted 3 americans though and asked Pavlik if I'm not mistaken (can't remember for ****).

As far as that deal....I really don't know. Honestly I even heard a rumor that Bute's team turned it down (invite to the super 6), and I heard one that he wasn't even approached.

He was not invited, but when Taylor didn't want to participate in the Super 6 they needed a SUBSTITUTE ! I guess Bute didn't need to be a substitute in his career... Anyway, it is planned that Bute will fight the winner of the Super 6.

BTW Dawson is not in the same division as Bute, since when a WC MUST fight another fighter who is in a different division.

Obviously, boxing is not your sport, maybe you're better in Hockey since you know so much about Canadians.

Only fight Pascal cause he was told to? What a dumbass thing to say, it doesn't even make sense.

BTW, I know Dawson and Bute are not in the same division. Why don't you tell me that the sun rises in the East every morning while you are making such genius observations.

If you knew **** about boxing you would know that Pascal is a natural 168'lber just like Bute is. Pascal, unlike Bute, had the sack to move up in weight to take tougher fights that would garner him more respect.

If Pascal can move up to fight Dianconu and Dawson then I don't see why Bute can't do the same.... unless everything I said in my first post was true. (which of course it was).

Boxing is obviously not your sport. You're not even close to being on my level. Probably yet another ******ed Canuck.

Calm down son, it's good for you to know someone like me who started boxing 30 years ago and is actualy from Montreal. Bute will fight the winner of the Super 6, it's already planned by Stephane Larouche...

If Chad agrees to go to 168 and Bute refuses the fight, it's ok to say he's ducking Dawson though.I would like to see Bute-Dawson at 170. I know some of you are not fans of catchweights, but in this situation I believe both guys would be at their best at that weight.
Yeah cause comparing the weight struggle of a guy to move up 7 lbs is the same as moving up 25ish lbs for cruiser. And Bute fought above 168 lbs for the earlier part of his career, so what's the big fcking deal?

They made a mistake by not inviting Bute, it's even worse now that they know that Bute will fight the winner of the Super 6 !

If you were making a tournement of the Super 6 would you forget to invite the Ring #1 Bute or wait and invite him if some boxer doesn't want that tournament ? Bute is #1 good for him, now let's bring those Super 6.

He is the Canadian version of Calzaghe.

Even if Dawson agreed to starve himself to 168 and come to Canada; Team Bute still would not answer their phones when Shaw and Dawson come calling.

5 years from now Bute will probably challenge a fighter who has a chance of beating him, but it surely won't be any time soon.
No Bute fights the winner of Ward/Dirrell by the end of next year!!!

Bute will fight the winner of the Super 6 huh? Set in stone? LOL.

What does he plan on doing for the next year and a half until the Super 6 is wrapped up?

Fight a bunch of bums? Yup.

Also, Bute was approached about being in The Super Six and he said flat out he wasn't interested.

The fact that you deny that as well exposes you as being unable to be unbiased about this topic.

I pretty much agree although my estimate would be that Bute will fight the supersix winner and that wont be 5 years.

Still it's clear that Bute will keep fighting clubfighters like Brinkley for another year. I'm convinced that he wont fight Dawson and he wont fight one of the two eliminated from the supersix come christmas.
