Lennox could come back and win, but he should stay retired and let the division sort itself out. We need a new champion to emerge, not retread the old ones. This is a distraction we don't need. If Lennox wants to come back and clean out the division - again - that's a different story. To come back for one fight against a guy he cut up and beat down already is a waste.
in the last round, i saw with my own eyes that VITALI was landing the bombs and LEWIS was staggering back to his corner with glassy eyes and a heaving chest. an old unmotivated lewis should have been prepared for an opponent BIGGER than him. an old unmotivated lewis was the one who just barely managed to squeeze out an cheap TKO victory.

tell that to henry armstrong who was puking up MOUTHFULS of blood against lou ambers and still managed to finish the fight.

would have died in the ring from blood loss? he was cut on the face, he wasnt stabbed in the throat.

Lewis could of taken a round or two off, there is no way to say that Lewis could of or would of not been able to continue with 6 more rounds in the book. Vitali did not look like a spring chicken at the end of the 6th either. He was sucking wind and was visibly tired. Vitali, not Lewis, has the history of getting tired down the stretch. He starts sucking wind after 6 and breathing with his mouth wide open, as he did in round 6.

You guys are both arguing something that we can never know...

Both fighters were absolutely exhausted, VK was stumbling around the rings and bleeding all over the place and LL barely caught the edge of his stool...neither guy was going to make it the distant, the edge had to be given to the champ but it was a u pickem fight at the time of the stoppage.

Claiming anything else is just exposing where you alegiance lies amongst both men.

          sick of discussing this fight,.

check the record and stop whining.

id be very surprised if Lenn came back.

not cos he is scared but cos he doesnt need to money or not.

grant as a mandatory... dont make me laugh.
FACTS ON BOXREC...LOLOLOLOLOL That's what you base your facts on?

Lewis had three mandatory challengers, he went with Grant. Lewis lost the WBA title in court!!! King took Lewis and the WBA to court, over sanctioning the Grant bout. The court ruled in King's favor and Lewis was stripped. Tua took Lewis to court over the IBF belt, since he was the mandatory and wanted next dibs. Lewis was not stripped of the IBF, but it was not on the line in the Grant fight.

You comparing fighters that could go 20 rounds to a fighter who gets winded after 6?

well, he didnt seem to have any problem beating grant, keeping his title, and then beating tua, also keeping his title. oh, but he couldnt do that with ruiz.

im not talking about getting winded, im talking about continuing the fight, regardless of cuts. armstrong did it, vitali wanted to do it.

as for who was winded, klitschko was openly protesting against the stoppage, while lewis had a blank look in his eye barely managed to raise his arms in victory, and was the one who almost collapsed at the end of round six.

When did you watch boxing? Did you start last year? That information is common knowledge, even search on google or yahoo to back MY facts up. I just called my DKP contact just to make sure I'm not mixing anything up. He told me that I left out the fact that Holyfield also sued at the time over the WBA making Ruiz the mandatory when he was owed the spot. Lewis had two trials trying to halt the Grant bout, one brought on by King and Ruiz, one by Tua. Lennox lost both, kept one title (IBF) and was stripped of the other (WBA). The guy could not fight three challengers at the same time.
