I take B-Hop,I think his level of competition was better & he was able to do more with less physical talent!!
1.Undefeated middleweight champion Trinidad,as the underdog!!
2.Light heavyweight champ Antonio Tarver,as the underdog!!
3.Undefeated middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik,as the underdog!!

floyd has always been the favorite in his fights, most of all his opponents have taken the same game plan to floyd, which is come at him and try and force him to fight, which always plays out into floyds style and favor in his fights. floyd has made adjustments which have been brought up IE judah and mosley fight, as well as the chavez fight when he fought with a busted hand, but those were just a few to the many of hopkins, minus the fact that hopkins has been the underdog in most of his fights.

so to me, the guy that is expected to lose and usually wins, seems to me to have the higher ring IQ because for one he proves people and the "experts" wrong with his skill and ring smarts, also he's having to overcome more adversity than that of the always " favorite"...........

thats just my take on it....
the hell does being the underdog have to do with anything?

i sugggest you look at the damage on benards face then compare it to floyds.

Damn good question. In ring Floyd is second to none, the ability to adjust to any style of any opponent figuring out the exact distance, speed of hand and foot, and strength of an opponent within 3 rounds makes him damn near unbeatable.

Hopkins however knows boxing. Every move, every trick, every style. It's engrained in his brain. He sets traps because he knows how someone reacts to certain things. He would be one hell of a trainer.

They are both masters at what they do, appreciate them for it.

Floyd is a master at making adjustments (perfect examples are mosley, judah). Once floyd figures out those adjustments to make and the right amount of distance to keep, etc, it's a wrap. I don't really think floyd has much of a game plan, he just gets into the ring, sees what their about and adjusts accordingly.

Bernard is CONSTANTLY thinking. He's always thinking about setting up traps. he's thinking about what he's going to do 3-4-5 punches down the line. He even throws punches he purposely misses because he anticipates what the opponent will do and he'll nail you with a counter. Perfect example the knockout shot on Tito. On top of that he comes up with specific gameplans for specific opponents.
I was watching that the other day and really took notice to how he set that up. You can see him feint right before that to get a read on if Trinidad is going to counter with a hook. He got confirmation and did the same thing but threw an uppercut this time which he obviously wasn't even trying to land but wanted Trinidad to throw the hook so he could block and counter with that right hand. Beautiful stuff.

                floyd.

he was smart enough not to take on a legitimate all time great in their prime.
