Hopkins. He's been in there with much younger, hungrier, faster guys and hasn't ever really taken a beating. Floyd has always been the quicker guy with the better reflexes in the ring, which is why it looks like he has a high ring IQ (probably why he's not in a hurry to get in there with pac)

Ring IQ is when the questions are asked in the ring and you know the answers

Floyd knew the answers in his all 41 professional fights

        Bernard didn't

Boxing IQ wise I think they're equal. I just think Floyd can exemplify his IQ in the ring better than BHop in today's world.

            thats IQ for me.
Agreed. Bernard has less physical tools. His technique is so precise (footwork/spacing/punches). In a boxing sense, everything is perfect. He steps with every punch, he figures his opponents out within a round or two (except for Joe cal who is another master boxer).

They are both 5 of the smartest fighters ever to lace up a pair of gloves when it comes to ring IQ.

They're about the same level. But personally I'm more impressed by Floyd's since he just needs a round or two to figure out any opponent from a to z, he can adjust to any fighter just like that.

inside the ring i would say hopkins is the smarter fighter but outside the ring floyd is definitely smarter cause he knows which guys can beat him and avoids them like the plague so he can maintain his flimsy undefeated record.
