Thomas Hearns Beats Them Both, Tommy KD's Manny Early and stops him in the middle rounds, Tommy Drops Floyd at some point but wont stop him, Floyds defence is to great, Tommy beats him by SD, i see Floyd giving Tommy fits with his accuracy and pinpoint counter punches and excellent timing, but Tommy's power and pressure will take the rounds.Last edited by Too_Slick; 08-05-2010, 01:01 PM.

AGain I think you are missing my point. Floyd and Pac are elite fighters, I'm not factoring in division or weight. I wouldn't use elite to describe paul or sergio.
As for "elite" within a division, meaning who are the top at a given weight then yesa paul and sergio are 1 and 2 at 154.

I'm not underestimating Floyds power, I'm being realistic about Pryors chin
Arguello is a far harder puncher than Floyd, and Pryor showed he could take a shot
Floyd has a better chance than Manny, but I still think he loses.

Martinez will walk the dogs on Floyds a$$ big time!!Bigger, just as fast, stronger, has more power!!Floyd's a better counter puncher, because that's how he fights, but if ur fighting someone bigger, stronger & just as fast, obviously U ain't countering ****!!Just saying!!
Pac has a shot against Paul if he fights small, which he usually does. Martinez vs Pac would be electric. I pick Pac by a hair.

TS should've set parameters for this, it's really open-ended. What weights are we talking for these guys? I mean Pacquiao has fought from 106-154(150) in his professional career and has classic, well-known battles at featherweight and welter. Floyd has fought from 130-154 and his best was unquestionably at lightweight.
RIGHT NOW, both guys need to fight to settle the issue. I think Pac's southpaw stance, insane speed and power, his unorthodox and unpredictable attack, and constant activity break down Floyd's shell, especially since he isn't as mobile as he once was. I think Paul Williams beats both guys IF he gets with a trainer that teaches him how to use his physical advantages. The dude is 6'2"ish with a reach longer than Wlad the Impaler AND he's a southpawHe should be invincible at 147-160 but he lost to Quintana?
Martinez exposed how vulnerable he is to a quick southpaw and rocked his chin. As he is now, Pacquiao would bust him up... but Floyd's passive style would get Paul the decision, even if May blocked/dodged most of his shots, 100+ punches a round adds up.
All time, let's say 126-147 for Pac- Duran, Sugar Rays, Hearns, maybe Pep and Benitez would give him a battle.
All time for Floyd, 130-147- Sugar Rays, Hearns, and Sweet Pea's speed/defense/smarts/southpaw stance would give Floyd fits. Would love to see Duran vs Mayweather at lightweight.
If both guys fought fantasy bouts at 154+, Hagler murders them both.

Pacquiao Past fighters:

Austin
Raheem
Guzman
Johnston
Too many ATG's to name so I only named a few recent guys.
Mayweather Currently:
No one.
Mayweather Past:
Sugar Ray Leonard
Tommy Hearns
And in the NOW, no one can beat both.
But I can see Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler and even Roberto Duran can beat them or at least challenge them both (Pacquiao and Mayweather).

Past fighters & Current fighters.
like saying Martinez could beat Pacquiao would be ****** because he's so much bigger.
I see Hearns knocking Floyd spark out, and I'd pick Leonard over PAC due to his counter punching capabilities and ability to put combinations together.Last edited by them_apples; 08-05-2010, 01:44 PM.

Paul Williams is not even close of becoming ELITE boxer. not in his lifetime.
if Manny and Williams would even the playing field Williams would get battered. same as Martinez. none of those guys are ELITE. no way in hell Williams and Martinez beat Mayweather in welterweight. i just dont see it happening.
